As the Cavs season rolls along, you could call them inconsistent at best. What’s going on with the team and will there be major changes on the horizon? Our guy Brian Windhorst is here to break it all down.

FIRE KOBY ALTMAN, highest payroll in league and struggled to win against Pacers, otherwise loss. Trade the overpaid, soft, prima donna "core 4" for draft picks. The ceiling for Cavs is play-in. PATHETIC
Cavs are the most overrated team in the league. Constantly see power rankings grading them way higher than they deserve to be because "on paper" because "last year" this season isn't last season. Projections and predictions are not set in stone. They haven't played well in a "weak" eastern conference and I'll still see people putting them top 4 in the east. So much hype over a team fighting to not be in the play-in.
If they are ever going to win long term they have to find a way to work through the big men. Mobley and Allen have the ability but the Cavs keep reverting back to the guards shooting threes. They need a big man coach.
Mitchell is the ONLY player on this team that shows heart and desire to win. SAD SAD SAD

Is everyone pulling the same weight “Donovan is.” Lists no one else, which means everyone ISNT. And it couldn’t be more clear. If everyone was playing like Donovan, they’d be in line to win the finals. Because they aren’t, the season is over.
Cavs untouchables: Mitchell, Mobley, Hunter, Porter, Merrill, Tyson
They need a true big man, a 7 foot rim protector that can rebound. Trade anyone not on the untouchable list to get this done & cavs can win the finals.
Also don't give up on Lonzo Ball, his shooting can improve & he's very useful on the court, even when not scoring.

They started the season with the wrong philosophy. They are playing the wrong way. The major problem is that they don't consistently take good shots. As a result, they are too 3-point oriented. Additionally, they have guards who would rather make the million dollar pass than the right and simple pass. Too many wasted opportunities on offense are wasted because they keep shooting 3 point shots when they are missing them. Back in the day, when players missed a long one, they would try to get closer and take a higher percentage shot on therir next shot. Additionally, they tried to get each other by moving the ball-ot dribbling it so much! This team penetrates to pass out to shoot too many threes. How about Taking more 15-20 foot shots and our percentage would go up and we would be more productive. Work on setting each other up for intermediate shots in your offense. Also, Play inside-out, first and then look for outside shots after exploring intermediate range shots. We have two big guys in Allen and Mobley in offensive sets in a high-low action–They can dominate inside and once defense drops can kick it out for an open 3 point shot, out of a pass. We try for too many 3 point shots off the dribble and should be more teamwork to help each other get good shots. You are welcome. My analysis needs to be sent to Coach Adkinson so he can fix this inconsistent play at the offensive end. The effort is there on defense and we are capable if we sustain the effort. The main problem is shot selection and that has to be addressed for each player on this team and they have to buy into it! Case in point. Garland had 29 pts, 7 assists and no turnovers. The other night against the Pacers. I might add he took over the game because he stopped and pulled up and hit many intermediate shots and that is more of what we need from him and the other Cavaliers. All for One and One for ALL. Get better shots for EACH OTHER!
Their defensive effort STINKS! They are unwatchable. Give 48 minutes of defensive effort or quit. STOP THE ADVANCE OF THE BALL … FILL THE LANE … COVER THE SHOOTERS AT THE ARC … BOX OUT … these are fundamental basics. Put out or GET LOST!
