Rangers can't develop young talent.
Just say he’s a bust. Jeez
Throw him in the manny mahultra Jaime landmark pile.
Laffy is like that prime classic sports car engine that has some flaw which prevents it from functioning smoothly and consistently. One day peak performance, the next stalls and backfires. Great Winter Classic, terrible last night. Maybe like K Miller, needs a change of venue.
season can't end fast enough
Laffy is emblematic of the Rangers under Gorton. Mixed bag of talent with glaring flaws. Let’s roll the clocks back to a few seasons ago. Laffy was his natural position LW, Chytil stayed healthy, and RW Kakko remained focused. Breakout season for all three players. Then the other shoe dropped. Chytil’s concussions became too serious to risk his well being. After a forty point season, Kakko couldn’t put it altogether. Both were traded away. Laffy was moved up, flipped from LW to RW, and could not finish at the net because the consistent effort is not there.
The Rangers NEED hockey players. Guys who can forecheck, hit, and play both sides. Not watch the opposition tire out from shelling Igor till you can get a goal opportunity.
Lafreniere is 24 but he’s playing like he’s on the third line when he’s not.
Ah Brooks would be so proud
LaFreniere spent his whole career as a left winger. All his muscle memory is on the left, but the Rangers insist on his being a right winger. Bad decision!
Gotta figure out the cap and contract situation and blow this group up. Shesty, Bread, Mika, Foxy, Laf…they all can go. This team is just spinning it's fkn wheels. Where is Drury? Our GM is Part-Time, Dolan is clueless….we aren't going ANYWHERE.
Can't spell BUST without Lafrenierre
Drury gave $50 mil to Alexandre Daigle 2.0
He has been a Total Bust from Day 1. Drury gave him 7 years at 52 Million. WTF. For what ???. Has only 9 Goals & 15 assists Defenseman Matthew Schaefer from Islanders has 12 Goals & 17 Assists . Time to cut your Loss and hope to get a 2 round Pick.
Lafranare sucks, the only ones scoring is panarin and zibinijad but they want to trade them ? If they had 2more guys like them they'd be in the playoffs by a long shot. Stop with the kids they suck to. Seasoned vets is the recipe for success. Look at Dallas and the oilers.
There are still people who defend this guy, it blows my mind. "Oh the Rangers can't develop talent, oh, they haven't given him a chance on the PP."…He's been on a line with 2 great players for 3 years now in Panarin and Trochek. He's not on the PP because he sucks on the PP even worse than he does at even strength. The guy sucks at hockey, it's just that simple..13 must go.
Drury gave him too much based on one decent year on the heals of bread. The Cuyle contract is what Laffy should be on and I would argue Cuyle is much better all around player than Laf.
Isles fan here. 5-6 years ago i picked the rangers as the team to watch for the next 5-6 years. WTF happened to you guys???
The NY Rangers are a graveyard for young talent. The worst thing that could happen to a kid is to get drafted by NYR.
