  1. TRADE MAXEY NOW!!! Do Sixers fans even realize it’s not even organizationally possible to build around Maxey! The Sixers don’t even have a first round draft pick until 2028. That means the players you would draft to build around Maxy would be drafted eight years after Maxy's draft. A draft spread this far is not a recipe for building a cohesive team! Just as a recent example, neither OKC or Golden State had draft spreads this distant! These teams drafted their core within 4 years of each other!
We need to be putting primary focus on Edgecomb's time horizon and let Maxy grow with a current serious contender!

Let's think logically, assuming draft picks take 3-5 years to develop, Maxy would now be north of 30 years old. Also, these picks are probably all late round draft picks because the Sixers will likely make the playoffs but lose in the 1-2 rd with their currently constructed team. This is a completely stupid way to think about trying to build a team and so reminiscent of “The Process” strategy! Also, tell me how to build around a 6 '2 [minus] 1.5 playoff PG whos +/- drops with volume and who is 2nd in allowing TO points, 1st in allowing opponents points in the paint, 5th in allowing opponents 2nd chance opportunities, and plays a redundant role as your young star who is 5 years younger and a 3rd pick who already has better defensive numbers than Maxey! Maxey also plays 40 min. a game which is a problem and symptomatic of a current team construction issue. You cut Maxey's playing time as you would surround him with better options to a normal guard's minutes, you’ll see his scoring number drop but will still be a liability on defense.

I get casual fans get excited about a flashy fast scorer who gives some hope after “The Process” disaster, but Maxey is a win now “Process” remnant that needs to be flipped while at his likely highest value! Maxey is just another Embiid, good enough to get you to the playoffs but not good enough to win a Championship! If anyone disagrees I'm more than happy to get into an in-depth statistical analysis of what Maxey really is!
