Rich is my favorite player and a great Raider the mvp!!!
Leader of men
My personal favorite all time Raider QB
I think he’s retired
His career took off with Raiders after years of being a fringe starter. Has I don’t give a fuck personally and hustled/grinded into becoming an MVP. A true Raider in a lot of ways.
Absolutely loved Rich. Probably the only great QB we had for me as a Raiders fan of my age
Mvp
The cannon ! He was the quarterback when I became a fan, definitely should have cherished him even more
If you’re a Raiders fan, you love Rich Gannon.
Hadn’t really thought about him for years until i saw this
Tony Siragusa body slam
MVP
Would have had a ring if it hadn’t been for fat ass Siragusa.
Insane story.
From a 4th Round guy that barely saw the field to a bridge starter to an MVP in his 15th season.
In 17 seasons he had 3 that were any good and one of them was an MVP year.
My favorite Raider QB
This seems like upvote farming, but I don’t care. Gannon was my favorite player. Felt like we were never ever ever out of it with him under center. Guy was a murderer on the field, tough as nails.
my personal GOAT QB for our team. i am not concerned with overall GOAT status in this regard and don’t want to argue that. i was like 8-10 during his time and watching him throw to Jerry Rice and Tim Brown and Charlie Garner and Tyrone Wheatley and Joe Jett got me really excited on the team my dad made me watch. every year we got further in the playoffs i was convinced we would win one in 2003 season. true Raider reclamation project and loved watching him argue with Gruden
Him changing plays at the line made Gruden look better than he really was. Gritty and smart, the type of QB we need to be back at the top of the West.
My childhood QB. Lots of memories of watching this guy with my Dad who has since passed. Those early 00’s teams were special
If you’re around 30-40 years old. He’s our generations Stabler/Plunkett/Lamonica.
One of the greatest QBs we’ve ever had.
Best quarterback before my back started hurting
He’s Mendoza 1.0 or Mendoza is Gannon 2.0
I loved Gannon. He was in complete control of that offense. He had those awesome sidearm throws too.
Best QB in my lifetime as a fan by a mile.
2nd fav qb behind Plunkett. I remember when he was on the chefs and grbac was playing. I was praying the raiders wouldn’t knock grbac out of the game because I knew Gannon would kill em. I was super happy when Griden signed him…he is an awesome QB and a stand up man.
He is a SB champion if Gruden never gets traded. Multi time if a few calls went our way in the proceeding years.
Love him but two infamous plays stopped us from Superbowl the Tuck and the slam
The greatest Raider QB in modern history! Yes, he’s better than Carr was, don’t play as long, but was better
