Bring him back when McDaniel gets hired.
He was a pretty bad center for us in 2023 though. Good run blocker for us, but terrible in pass pro. He figured it out this year though.
I’ll be happy when we’re out of this era of posting about former Titans players that do well elsewhere. Brewer hasn’t been associated with the team since 2023.
He was a bad pass blocker, good to great run blocker, but was never built for our system. Looks like he’s put on some good weight too which he needed here imo
Was going to be? He was. Here. This is what coaching does for a player
Is there anywhere we can see a run down of the players salaries ?
Tougher than a $2 steak! lol
Brewer was an undersized finesse sort of center that wasn’t a match for what we wanted out of our OL.
Was a bad system match and left to found a place that helped bridge the gap between his skills and a system that needs them.
Pretty ordinary situation
Brewer was a bad guard and a bad center here. Aaron was a subway sandwich away from being a tight end here that’s how undersized he was.
Guys…guys…This is probably Aaron Brewer’s account…he’s trolling us.
I mean. He was pretty awful when he was here. Pair that with being undersized for a center, it makes sense why they let him go
honestly Brewer is such an indictment on the Vrabel staff considering he was pretty ass here and like never developed then Miami makes him pretty good
He probably could not survive a lot of places, but he landed in the absolute perfect scheme for him. Great work by him and his agent to get to the right spot.
In Miami he’s surrounded by a 1st and high 2nd round guard both of which are larger than our guards the last 2 years.
This is important because Aaron Brewer is an undersized center. So if you surround a guy like that with larger guards of a high quality then he can be effective as a chip blocker for the guards. If he needs to block guys 1 on 1 or be the primary blocker though you are going to have a bad time.
Just needed a change of scenery and scheme
He was a perfect scheme fit for what the dolphins wanted to run. The problem was always his size but if he is consistently on the move setting up outside zone runs he can be elite
Guilty 🙋♂️…his athleticism paired well with McDaniel’s fast paced/dynamic offense
