Hollinger

  1. Why would the Nets want Ja Wick?! We just went through hell with the big three. Nets just want someone chill.

  2. Ha Morant? The same Ha who don’t play defense, has been inefficient for years, plays with guns off the court, acts like a diva when he got called out by his coach – that Ha? In Brooklyn? FOH

  3. 🤣🤣 damn I just read his paragraph in the previous post and saw a contradiction in that paragraph didn’t realize he wrote some other bullshit. But I’ll definitely remember this suppose to lock to be traded for future reference. John hollinger is riding on this supposed trusted source. Nets for clicks

  4. Nah I wouldn’t want this, I love what we are doing now, Brooklyn needs a culture of team accountability and effort, I don’t want this wanna -be crim on the team that right now feels so fresh and talented.

  5. Every writer is trying to mock every disgruntled star going to the Nets.

But I would be very surprised if the Nets were interested. At this point, the FO seems to value the right things: IQ, hard work, team play, and good attitude.

Ja does not fit that mold.

  6. Trading porter for morant, in any permutation involving picks is one of the worst ideas ive ever heard in my life. Fuck those picks. Getting cute like this is how you end up trading deni avidja for literally jack shit. The nets were the 2nd best defense in the league, full stop, in dec. Why not roll with this for this season and next, make your 2026 draft pick, and see what you have?

  7. He’s speculating.

Everything we know about Joe Tsai tells me he’s going to tell Marks that Morant is a firm “NO” – the man probably has PTSD from the Kyrie era.

Marks and Jordi both also would be opposed to Morant – it would contradict everything both have said about roster construction and the style of play they want to play.

  8. This is either Ja’s agent or someone with the Grizzlies trying to drum up interest. That’s how this works. It’s supposed to get other GMs making inbound calls to the Grizzlies asking on Ja.

  9. Wow! I could see Detroit or GSW really having strong packages. Will be interesting to see!

Cannot imagine Toronto getting Mike. They need a big and a PG really badly. Too many wings as is

Miami would be interesting for MPJ for sure

  10. I’ve actually been quietly thinking this for awhile now. But I knew if I said it I’d get blasted.

Ja Morant is the typical buy-low move that Marks has done pre-KD era. Try to remold and repair his career, then sell high. He did this with D’lo when D’lo screwed up his rep in LA and they had to ship him out.

  11. I much rather have bought low on Trae Young than Ja Morant. And I don’t think MPJ needs to be moved unless we get multiple picks.

  12. I still remember last season when Ja pulled a chump move and got in Jordi’s face in Memphis over some BS. Said a lot about Ja’s character to me that you go out trying to intimidate an opposing team’s coach knowing full well they can’t retaliate against you in the floor like an opposing player could. I don’t want that man within 50 miles of this franchise. I don’t care if it’s just a rental or what the circumstances are.

  13. I call bullshit. When has Hollinger ever broken something?

There is no chance Marks wants Morant around the young core.

  14. The interesting part of this post is not Morant, which I agree will probably not happen, but that the Nets will definitely sell high on MPJ. It’s kind of amazing the nets aren’t saying we are going to build around porter if he was worth what this sub thinks. But who wants to pay huge dollars to have this guy be third option – Denver certainly didn’t. Hopefully Milwaukee is desparate to keep Giannis

  15. This is just some professional yapping in this post. I wouldn’t trust.

So far nothing showed that they are lock to move him. Wouldn’t they hold on playing him then? If they are so locked on that. He got that mild knee injury, but he still played yesterday. If they are lock on moving him, it doesnt make any sense that he played through it.

  16. Oh ok. I saw the headline on Twitter and now this clarifies everything. He’s just speculating that the nets want to make sure they’re as good as possible and throwing out a hypothetical. That being said he’s clearly not that tapped into how the nets operate bc I highly doubt ja is someone marks and tsai would want to deal with after kyrie

  17. Calling bullshit on the link to Ja.

Low-key hoping we keep MPJ unless we get like, an incredible offer that we can’t refuse. He’s been so fun to watch and I want to see him as a BROOKLYN NET in the All-Star game.

  18. “MPJ is an all star but a first round pick can be anything, it can even be an all star!”

  19. Hollinger used to be VP at the Grizzlies. He’s clearly doing his old team a favour by linking Ja in some trades to try and get him off their books
