6. That 96 Bills game should be in over the Garrard Pitt game imo. That 96 Den team we beat, was like this era Chiefs in how dominant they were that yr. But the 96 Bills team we beat a week before, was a dynasty in its own right, that just never won a SB, but had been to 4 straight. And It was a complete team on both sides, w/ the current DPOY.

14. Hearing all of those old names, man, memories! I bring up the Marino retirement game every now and then, and no one but Jags fans recall it. I love bringing up Steelers brats though. FreddyT used to roll them boys!

19. Was at number two, and it’s a night that I WILL NEVER FORGET. So, just a slight spoiler: my dad had passed away a few months before that season began out of nowhere and obviously it was very hard for me. I’d been lucky because of a friend to have gotten to go to both the Dallas and the Division-clinching game against Tennessee prior to that because he was a season ticket holder. Well, he was very close with my family (we’d known each other since we were young), and he’d been first on the list for playoff tickets and offered his extra to me because of what I went through. Well, he had club seats with a food and drink package, and when we went down 27-0, I honestly was like “might as well have a good time because we’re not coming back,” and started drinking. Well, then this one tall, very buff guy says “they’re gonna win,” and I’m like “I’ll buy you a few rounds at one of the bars nearby afterwards if it happens,” and laughed. I remember right as Patterson was lining up the kick, the whole row was on their feet, hands on each other’s shoulders, holding our breath and, as soon as the ball split the uprights, I collapsed crying because I immediately thought of my dad and how much he loved the Jags and wished he could’ve been there. I saw the guy and he lifted me up like I was some tiny child. It felt like the Super Bowl. This team feels so much better than that.

24. I was at the Chargers game. My family friend who regularly gets us Jags tickets wanted to leave half way through cause it looked like we'd lose. I told him I'd spent over $500 on my ticket and I wasn't leaving till the end. Needless to say, he was thanking me by the end of the night.

For recent fans, it might look a little confusing watching the '96 game ('96 season – game was in January '97) against the Broncos whenever they show all the fans in Jacksonville Municipal Stadium ( Maybe Alltel Stadium by that point, but certainly before EverBank Stadium). The Jaguar organization was so pleased with reaching the divisional round in only their second year that they invited fans to come to the stadium to watch the game on the big screen.

    The other fun thing that game was that many of the fans were still there when the team returned about midnight (maybe later). Supposedly, the pilot of the charter flight tipped the aircraft so the players onboard could see the fans waiting for their "conquering heroes!"

    I was an "at home" fan, but so much was shown on local tv it was sorta like being there. Fun times. Thanks for the memories.

    Hoping this year's team will surpass them all with the Jags' long awaited SB
