I’m not necessarily happy that bregman isn’t a Red Sox anymore, but 5 year 175 mill for a 32 year old bregman is insane lol I understand he brings value in the clubhouse, but his on field production hasn’t been worth 35 mill a year since 2018-2019….let alone when he’s 32-37 years old. You take away the names and faces, Wilson Contreras offensive production damn near replaces Bregmans. A full year of Roman Anthony and potentially a healthy year from Casas and our offense will surpass last years. Our offense is gonna be fine.

17. I see a trade with the Cardinals coming for Donovan to play second and they'll make it work at 3rd with Romy, Mayer or Eaton and watch for Red Sox 21 yr old rookie, Mikey Romero. He's been playing third for Worcester. Between playing SS, 2nd & 3rd at AA & AAA. he's hit 17 HR 76 RBI .245 AVG and played decent 3rd base in 111 games. He was the Sox 1st rd pick in 2022.

    Losing Bregman is tough for the clubhouse, but they'll make up the stats on the field with a younger player(s). If the younger player(s) don't produce as expected they can always pick up a veteran in July. Nolan Arenado would be a good veteran player to trade for if they want more experience for a year or two.

18. It wasn't a salary dump with Devers. His attitude sucked and they didn't want his negativity to taint the youngsters on the team. Given Devers reluctance to volunteer to play wherever the team needed so as to help out the TEAM; thereby solidifying the contract he signed as the FACE of the franchise! After flat out refusing to move positions to help the TEAM, it was time for him to go. Of course, that was under the understanding that Bregman would be playing at 3rd going forward. Looks as though it's Mayer's position to lose now.

27. I’m super pissed about this because I also don’t like Bo over Alex. Alex was such a huge piece for us especially for the young guys. You can’t teach that. Red Sox ownership is just terrible and there should be call to sell the team to an owner that isn’t cheap.
