Well. That’s NOT happening here

  1. It wasn’t ever happening, honestly.

I feel like buffalo or green bay would be logical if they’ve got an opening after the wild card weekend.

Otherwise, the giants make sense, and they’re likely willing to concede all of those points.

  2. If it’s absolutely not happening here, that’s why we will continue to suck. Sometimes you make compromises to get the best help.

  3. I know Bidwill can be cheap, but my guess is the authority over the roster and selecting a GM would more so be the reasons we wouldn’t want him.

  4. I mean isn’t that close to what he had in BAL? Newsome IMO is one of the greatest GMs ever and when he retired, the new GM was pretty good so Harbaugh knows what a good GM is and wants the best GM and staff he can get.

I mean Monti has had over 70 picks in 3 drafts and 3 FA periods and a 3-14 record to show for it. I don’t think he is safe.

But like many of you pointed out, MB is just not that dedicated to do what it takes to win.

  5. Atlanta Falcons need to hire both a coach and GM. And have a multibillionare owner willing to do anything to win.

  6. Those demands are only for the Browns job. I don’t think he’s a realistic option though.

  7. Arizona’s just not attractive enough to land a coach of Harbaugh’s caliber. Even with his demands met, Harbaugh would likely take a pass for much the same controls with a better team with a better roster in a better division to become competitive in. I’ve a feeling we’re getting the lowest bidder…

  8. Seems these are most easily met by the Dolphins. Also lines up real well with the timing of McDaniel firing

  9. Browns fan here and this popped up on my feed

I’d take anything Grossi says with a grain of salt. He, and the majority of Cleveland media, are a bunch of hacks

  10. The article said that’s specifically referring to the Cleveland job but still.

Wanting to pick your own GM is kind of a crazy ask, though.

Basically saying I want to pick my own boss 😂

  11. Not my money. The money we spend on the staff does not count towards the cap. Absolutely won’t happen but not sure why any fan would be against doing this.

  12. > “Select his own GM”

Yea he ain’t getting that. He’s just setting his standards high to get the best offer. Coen was barely able to get Balke fired after being one of the best OCs in the sport. The teams that are open right now don’t have a Balke on the hot seat.

  13. This was just for the browns but since we’re pretty much just as pathetic or even moreso currently it’s probably the same for us

  14. It was a long shot anyway. We can still get someone good just gotta have hope!

  15. PAY THE MAN. Having a legendary coach like him would incentivize good free agents to come here.

  16. I’d do it and if I was Monti I would tell Bidwell to do it as well if I could transition into more of an executive role. Run the organization for Bidwell so he can step back. The GM of Harbaugh’s choosing would effectively still be under him.

  17. We are gonna get some jobber college coach, my expectations are at an all time low with this poverty franchise.

  18. All those points are exactly why the Cardinals won’t do it. $30M total for him and his staff and Bidwill won’t wanna give up control and we still have Monti. I’d scratch off Harbaugh already.

  19. Sounds like he should be a GM. When do coaches pick their boss? I wish I could have picked my parents, they would have been rich, but I didn’t get to.

  20. To answer their question. If you are the Browns, and Harbaugh demands one night a week with your wife and rose petals everywhere he walks, you make it happen. How is this even a question for the Browns? Are you afraid he is going to mess up your team?

  21. Who wants to coach in NFC West when you arguably have 3 of the best 5 coaches and teams in the NFC.

  22. Tony Grossi is a bullshit artist. You can’t trust anything he’s claims to know.

  23. If we did those terms and landed Harbaugh, it would be up there with Kurt Warner and Fitz as the greatest decisions the Cardinals have made. But only if Harbaugh had full control.
