2 Key points for me by Stein in that interview:
– ATL “repeatedly pushed back” on the notion we’d include Risacher. We might include him for “the right piece” but AD wasn’t the piece.
– timing was off. We were only interested if we got Trae off our books. But that didn’t happen until after AD was injured.
Got the notion that our interest was more that we were interested in putting together a 3 teamer with Trae. Once they started trying to use us to trump up interest, we basically had moved on.
That stump is trying to claim they were only saying what it would take for the Mavs to say yes?Absolute dog shit credibility
Really just a textbook example of how NBA front offices try to manipulate the trade market by talking about other teams’ players, and how national writers are happy to go along with it for clicks. Just horseshit.
This is called back peddling faster than prime time in his prime. The hawks had an offer the Mavs got greedy then loss everything
Stopped listening to these hypothetical takes for years now. It’s just noise and typical fake news peddlers via “experts” setting the narrative for these teams to notice. All noise and whole lots of nothing.
