The New England Patriots finished the 2025 season tied with the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks for the best record in the NFL with a 14-3 record to earn the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoffs. The 14-3 record is a 10-game difference from the 4-13 finish in 2024. The 10-game improvement tied the 1999 Indianapolis Colts and the 2008 Miami Dolphins for the best turnaround in NFL history. The 1998 Colts were 3-13 and improved to 13-3 in 1999, and the 2007 Dolphins were 1-15 in 2007 and improved to 11-5 in 2008. This week, the Patriots will face the No. 7 seed Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night, the fifth time the two teams will meet in the postseason. The Patriots are 3-1 in the postseason against the Chargers. The Patriots and Chargers met in the 1963 AFL Championship Game played on Jan. 5, 1964, in San Diego with the Chargers taking a 51-10 decision. COMING TO THE GAME?

  1. Loved the close games yesterday. Ready for the Pats to score a million points today

  2. Not gonna lie, after all the years of “Super Bowl or bust” during the Brady/Belichick era, it feels weird going into a playoff run with absolutely zero expectations.

  3. I get depressed, now that we’re in the playoffs and that today is the day… I’m starting to think about my life, and I realize even if we win my life won’t be any better

  4. I’m old and gonna need a nap before this game but I am also so hyped!

Going to make collard greens, BBQ, mac & cheese, etc have a big ass southern comfort meal tonight.

    What are y’all cookin up?

  5. Drake 4 MVP!

No offense to anyone but even after a year it still feels weird to be pulling for the Pats. But here we are.

Obligatory Keep Pounding and Go Heels

  6. Walked into the bar last night to catch the end of Packers-Bears. Bartender asked if I wanted a drink, I politely declined. Guy sitting at the bar is like “You can get something” I said “Ah no, I will tomorrow night for the Patriots game.” He then says “They might lose.” I replied “Well, of course, that’s how football works.” He kept repeating it and later he revealed himself to be a Jets fan and I was like “Ah I see, loser’s mentality.”

Anyways, go Patriots and go Drake “Drake Maye” Maye!

  7. Wish we played Saturday or 1pm today. Waiting an entire weekend in anticipation for a playoff game is brutal. Not to mention having to stay up till midnight on a sunday before work.

But a win will make it worth it hopefully

  8. How’s the weather going to be during the game? Not from the area , checked 3 sites all have different forecasts.

  9. Honestly, feeling a little nervous. With how we’ve died in second halves, I hope we beat the piss out of them.

  10. 28 -14 pats win n Diggs get a 15-30 yard td catch lol also guys what time do you arrive to the game if it starts at 8 I got there at 650 last time we played prime time at giants felt like i was late sorry

  11. Whatever happens tonight, I couldn’t be happier with how this season has gone. The future is very bright. Maye has exceeded expectations across all fronts, progressing well from his 2nd year – our coaching is well established with foundational pieces in place for the long haul. Vrabel and McDaniels are a top-of-the-league pairing and will serve us well for years to come.. if not this year, we are legitimately a few offensive and defensive players away from playoff success. Find Maye a true WR1, continue to bolster the line and explore TE options going forward. On the defensive side of the ball, we need a true edge rusher – our lack of pressure is putting way too much on the secondary. Probably need to look into some safety help as well, I haven’t been overly impressed with Hawkins or Woodson this year. Depth needed all around, of course.

    LFG

  12. Just want a playoff win tonight so we can say that we’ve had a playoff win post-Brady. Past that, it’s pure gravy.

  13. Let’s see how Drake Maye performs in a playoff game against a very good Chargers defense. That’ll be an indicator of how the game is going to go.

Does the team start fast? Are they out of sync for the first couple of drives? Does this young team show up even when the lights are bright? Does Maye show everyone why he should have been 1st team All-Pro/MVP?

    Let’s go.

  14. Just went to hannaford and grabbed some ribs to make. Today is gonna be a GOOD day lads and ladies

  15. Someone on CBS pregame was saying the pats are a quick game offense with selective deep passing. People really don’t know it’s not the same any more.
