We finally got a team worth adding a big piece for, but we can’t cause we have 2 of the worst contracts in the league that nobody wants
Dr Darko lied to us
Love Jak but he’s gotta go (I don’t know how)
there is no value to shutting him down. It is a back injury and have no idea if/when it will get better.
They are just hoping at this point.
That would be a complete disaster for this franchise considering how much theyve wasted on him.
Somehow this issue flares up as soon as he gets a long term deal…
Backs are difficult
This is why we shouldn’t panic because he doesn’t have anything structurally wrong with his back. He need rest and rehab. Steve Nash had chronic back issues and returned to win 2 MVPs as a point guard.
This guy is cooked man
As a 6 foot nothing guard I had back issues temporarily and that still was annoying af to resolve
Could imagine a 7 footer – we’re not cooked but we do need another center and I can see a world where he might be ready for playoffs maybe 15-20 games before
raptors are in such a fed up situation smh. two garbage contracts in jak and iq with limited top talent .
That’s why you don’t hand out such a large and long term contract to one of the least valued archetype of a player. Jak is not a good rim protector, not a vertical lob threat, and doesn’t space the floor. Only thing he can do at above average rate is playmake for his position and rebound. Celtics pick out centers from trash heap and make them useful players. This front office is hung up on playmaking centers and hand out trash contract to fulfil that fantasy. I really hope the ownership does not renew Bobby’s contract next year. Also, Darko was basically hired to be the yes man for this FO. He will gladly gaslight on behalf of the FO.
This isn’t the NHL you don’t get cap relief or any meaningful benefit to shutting a player down for the season.
