  1. Omg so frustrating to watch. Turnover Stutzle in fine form tonight. We need a damn save when it matters. Watching this team pout and throw temper tantrums on the bench and ice..every single shift…its getting extremely tiring to watch. This from a 26yr long fan. Love the shows boys. Keep up the fantastic work!

  2. Brady was benched for the last 2 minutes. He probably should have been benched for the last period

Where did the passion go? Remember when Brady asked an entire team who wants it?

Right now everybody wants it because we are pathetic

  3. The GM's public comment slamming its fan base for their behavior was highly misplaced anger, and it was an arrogant display of self-entitlement. As well, we had the team's captain slamming its fans on public television, with slurs of unprofessional language. Hey BTW Brady, it's all on you…you're the leader of this team. {perhaps he enjoys the limelight a little too much and completely lost focus). This is the kind of mindset that dwells in the franchise. A mindset that has no idea how to be highly competitive, but knows how to make excuses without even knowing what the problems are and remain complacent in expectations, aka soft. Fans have a right to be angry (there's a lot to be angry about BTW) and how they express it is unfortunately no one's business.

    If an athlete cannot:

    1. compete at a high level,
    2. deal with crushing disappointments,
    3. learn how to improve their skills every year,
    4. remain focused on goals no matter the noise all around

then that athlete has no business playing in any professional sports, period.

Not many athletes have the mental capacity to deal with the immense pressures of elite professional sports. It ain't no picnic.

Going around slamming strangers for their unpleasant comments is a waste of time. Clearly the Ottawa Sens franchise has no idea how to be a competitive team at the top of their game. Ottawa has always been a graveyard or a farm for the ultra talented. It's never been a competitive city and it never will be as long as its mindset remains small-minded.

To be the best and beat the best, you cannot make excuses, you have to build. Great ones find ways to build systems that win, period. They focus on figuring out how to be better and beat the best. They do this everyday, and every season.

Clearly something is very wrong in the franchise. It's been that way ever since I was a kid. Now, it's up to the franchise (owner, executives, coaches and players) to decide collectively, whether they want to figure it out (be solution oriented) or keep making excuses (stay mediocre). It is entirely up to them to decide if they want to change or remain the same.

They're lucky I'm not the owner cause I'd fire:

    – Goalie coach and its entire management staff
    – Head coach
    – GM/president
    – Brady as the captain, even trade Brady asap, make Tim Stützle captain (the only player who understands being competitive at high levels, and Sanderson)
    – Nurture Levi cause he's gonna be a superstar one day (25/26 years old) with the right development

Development of an athlete means developing their skills, confidence and knowing how to push their limits. Pushing way beyond their current mental and physical limits with all resources available. You never make excuses, and never find reasons for mediocrity. Learn how to focus on doing each minor task (on the things you need to do and feel in order to succeed) for long periods over and over again, and most importantly you need mental toughness.

Mental toughness does not mean doing it alone. No one can go it alone (this world is harsh), but you can teach yourself discipline, focus, beneficial problem management and resolution; and mental toughness mostly means having the right kind of people to support you and kick your buttocks when you need a wake-up.

No elite athlete goes to the top alone.

…like they say, "It takes a village."

    But…it takes the right village.

  4. I don't know what to say, except, "You are never as good or as bad as you think you are.". Let's regroup. Is difficult to see this after last year, but let's take a deep breath. Have a great evening.

  5. I believe more and more each day that Brady is « saving himself «  for the Olympics. He playing like a guy who’s still injured and like a guy who doesn’t want to get injured before the Olympic games.

  6. human beings tend to stay in situations they should better get away from, in the hope things might get better … which rarely works.

this team is lost, it always has been with these players, despite a short look out of the prison window last season.

we need drastic measures. we can now see what a close and harmonic group they have become. lots of blabla, thats it.

the vedic scriptures say: god has invented language to destroy reality.

  7. I wish we had Ian Mendes the investigative journalist over Ian Mendes VP Communications right now so someone capable in this city can dig into what the HELL is going on with this hockey team.

We can ignore our spider senses, but there isn't full harmony on this team. Don't know what but we all know something isn't quite right in SensLand.

  8. LOSP is the only good thing about supporting this organisation this season.

I hate to be proved right but I’ve said right through this rebuild that this team is simply not very good and most Sens fans have massively overestimated the talent of our “core”. I’ve been hammered for it over and over again. But here we are.

It’s time to start again. Sometimes things simply don’t work out.

Sandy and Timmy are genuinely excellent players. Let’s rebuild and contend when those two boys are 28-29.

This current team will never ever win anything.

And fellas, I know you love him but our captain has checked out. He’s the most overrated player in the league. Trade him while we can still get a haul.

Actually, I’d trade every single player apart from Tim and Jake. Every one.

  9. Power play strategy: winger pass to the D for the one-timer but on his backhand, D back to the winger for the one-timer but on his backhand, winger pass to the D for the one-timer but on his backhand, D back to the winger for the one-timer but on his backhand, winger pass to the D for the one-timer but on his backhand, D back to the winger for the one-timer but on his backhand… turnover and a clear. Again and again and again and again. PK? just stand around and watch.
And somebody please tell Leevi who post game said something to the effect of he's playing pretty well —that his numbers are the worst in the league and always letting 1, 2 or 3 goals in on the first few shots isn't pretty good. Steady Steve has totally misplayed this lineup. No real backup goalie, Chychrun for Jensen, 150lbs Spence as the shutdown D who gets bounced off the puck nightly, Perron $4.5m per… pathetic

  10. They're playing like the shoe is about to drop. Like a big is looming over their heads.. Everyone is gripping their sticks too tight and looking for plays that aren't there. God it's frustrating

  11. I really don’t give a damn about urgency, where is the is the hear, soul, passion and pride. The way they are playing makes me believe something has happened and it has affected the whole TEAM. Could the rumours be true? There is a line in Shakespeare’s Hamlet: “The Lady doth protest too much, me thinks”. Did Staios go overboard? Had it been been me, I would have played in down, with just dismiss it at TRASH from fool behind a keyboard. Anyone who thinks shenanigans doesn’t go on when the Team is on the road is either very naive or willfully ignorant. Staios’ rant coupled with the Team’s play leads to speculation. If all or part of the rumour is TRUE, my question is, can they come back from that? I don’t think they can.

  12. I was BOTG for the game last night. Not only did we lose yet again now our 4th in a row. I ended up getting sick at the CTC coughing and sneezing, then had to travel back in a snowstorm just a terrible night overall. It is indeed panic button time I have no clue what is wrong with this team but man is it ever frustrating and dissapointing. Highlight of the night was getting Greig bobblehead lol. To answer the question both you guys brought up towards the end when they scored to make it 3-2. My dad and I literally got up and left with 5 minutes left then walking down the stairs from 3rd level of course they scored to make it 3-2 and he was like should we stay and I answered back saying "No we shouldn't its the fake comeback they won't tie it" you know it's bad when your team is so predictable of what they can't do lol

  13. 1992 Sens, never shoot only pass for the perfect shot. Perfect shots can happen in the post season. Time to shake up the team. Trade time

  15. Agree with Ross regarding holding onto Marilainen…every time we depart with a potential No.1 goalie they thrive on other teams – he needs nurturing in a better environment (AHL), GSG!

  16. Ullmark teammates want him off the team. He was at the game the other night nothing wrong with him. They want him off the team. He did not need to rat out his brothers it's a huge violation of being a good team mate.

  17. This group of players knows the season is over. That's why they are not very interested. I'm sure some of them are waiting and praying to go elsewhere to finish the season with a chance for the playoffs. Too bad for the fans. There is an internal issue. Staios' job is to identify the problem and fix it before it's too late for Sanderson, Stützle, Chabot and ….

  18. Andlauer talked about being transparent and holding people accountable. I haven’t witnessed any of this. Brady doesn’t want to be here in my opinion. Staios isn’t making any big moves because he knows they won’t be in the playoffs. Maybe green has to give them more optional skates 😂
