Take your shutout and get out.
Sounds harsh sending a guy down after getting a shutout and first NHL win, but now he has more motivation to step it up in the AHL to get back up.
Korchinski played really well too. We just have a pretty deep defense.
The reality is they were only up to cover for the guys that had the flu….. they were never staying.
They’ve got a taste for blood now. Let it fuel them.
This is good. Take an NHL shutout as a massive badge of honor to continue cooking in the AHL with tons of confidence.
100% this was expected by Commesso.
This only adds to his resume to either get called up permanently in the future, or get traded to a team that will call him up.
I missed the game – how did Korchinski play?
Korchinski had a solid second game against Nashville—something for him to build on too. He’s gotta continue to add muscle.
As a Soderblom hater I’m disappointed
Although the first game for Commesso was just bad for the whole team, the shutout is a great sign that he has the trajectory on track. I can’t wait to see what he can do in the future. I’d love to see him backup Knight next year, although I am not as big of a Soda hater as others in the community
