All facts bro. Organization malpractice all over.
The front office is a total disgrace. Promise to spend a lot of money, and what happens in free agency. Sign no one. Lose Alex Bregman. It is really disgusting.
Craig Beslow masterclass.
So let me get this straight we signed him last year to a team friendly deal due to the quad injury. He hurt the quad again missed a month of the season was not the same player He was after the quad injury so this year we should’ve overpaid for him. Hell no see ya Breggy!!
Nothing to panic about — it’s the same story as the last four years. They’ll fight for fourth or fifth place in the AL East.
Until there’s an ownership change, this is what it’s going to be. Ownership knows fans will keep paying to watch whether they put a winner on the field or not.
Dysfunctional dysfunctional dysfunctional when you gonna admit it. When we find out the offer will not be competitive.
When they knew the cubs offer they offer less. Again wait till last minute.
This team is cooked. I hate this reality, but this is the daily life of a Sox fan. We have become a franchise that is focused on money over winning. I understand that this is a business, but wow.
So Mayer will be the 3rd baseman i think. Gonzalez at 2nd. I dont think they gonna sign Bichette. Regardless the team is still a playoff team, just not the jeggernaut most want it to be.
Same brain trust that gave away 60 million for Campbell.
This team is fuckin garbage as it stands. Unfortunately Fenway is a tourist trap and there’s nothing else to do in Boston anyways so it’ll be packed every night. Joke
Henry needs to sell this team.
I think FSG knows a salary cap is coming thats why they aren't getting tied dow to anything past 3 years.
10:48 It's never been a question of if they can, it's always been a question of if they will. Now you're finally starting to see the fire, that's been going on since Dombrowski was done dirty by John Henry, raging around you.
This is a Dombrowski curse.
Honestly though, 35 million for an injury prone third baseman? I would've liked him, but anyone is replaceable. We have too many outfielders and too many left handers. Let's trade them for some right handed power. I am indifferent either way… there was a good chance he was gone with the opt out.
In the extremely likely event that the Red Sox don’t sign Bo Bichette this offseason, we need to see Drake Maye levels of improvement from Marcelo Mayer on third
well, doubt Bichette comes here, if anything he'll use Boston as a bargaining chip to go back to Jays. IF he goes to Phillies, opens the chance maybe Phillies trade Bohm, and hopefully Alvarado could be included in the deal, take all the salary, they are both on kast year of contracts. And leaves them with 11 million to use elsewhere.
Sorry for this long winded venting session but, the last two front office hires have been terrible. Bloom was a first time GM, he was good at building the farm system but not much else. Dont get me going on Breslow though, another first time GM. He made a good trade for Crochete and signing Chapman. Beyond that I am unimpressed, he has orchestrated 3 yrs of lack luster off seasons along with 2 terrible executed trade deadlines, he has not signed an impact free agent to a multi-year deal, he has made a few bad trades and has failed on multiple free agent rehab/reaches, and is simply riding Chaim Blooms coat-tails by clinging onto BLOOMS draft picks while also preemptively paying some. So much so that he wants to try and get Kyle Teal back already. We cant blame Henry for everything, it sounds like we are talking about a few million dollars and a trade clause, its literally Breslows JOB to figure that out! He is NOT A CLOSER, which is a requirement in his field!
Bregman isn't blameless in this whole thing. I was a Bregman fan since his Houston days. He's the one who walked.
It’s Marcelo Mayer time!
Sox?
The Sky is Falling The Sky is Falling! Quick run around in circles with your hands in the AIR!! TY Breggy for your service and Good luck! The Cubs are such suckers!
I can't wait for the day crochet demands a trade to a contender…. And I hope and pray he does.
Bregman only cares about the money Sox could of matched the offer no problem another ten million more was the difference I get he’s older but what happened to the urgency to win now?
Nah I’m not panicking. Bregman doesn’t make or break this team lol. Red Sox offer was competitive. He didn’t choose them.
Pain.
Sox just aren’t serious about winning a championship. Just trying to put a “decent” product on the field to draw fans. But, they aren’t serious like other clubs.
Oh, well, at least we got Seth Martinez.
Another year of not getting any good players and not making the playoffs. If the ownership will not spend then the fans should not spend on the tickets. It’s frustrating to see a team being afraid to get good players and afraid to hand out long term deals to players. I get they have gotten bitten in the past but with the lock out coming next offseason. Now is the time to get players not run away from players.
Man it’s so hard- the Red Sox needed to overpay for their guy, but Bregman wanted a NO-Trade clause and the bag
Im honestly convinced Nico Hoerner is the move we need a guy who doesnt strike out no one does that better than Nico they have a logjam in that infield he plays elite defense at Second if the team doenst wanna pay Bichette i would love Nico also look at his hit chart his bat was made for fenway im thinking he can 15 hr guy over here just be good an amazing compliment to contreas
The @RedSox are a 90+ loss team in 2026. Not even worth checking the box scores, let alone watching a game. If you don't boycott them this season you're part of the problem.
You are absolutely right!!! Below and Henry think they are the smartest guys in the game.
Time for Henry to sell, looking forward to another mediocre 80 win season
😂😂😂😂 it figures
Get over it. It’s the same scenario every season. Anticipation then disappointment
I remember over the summer your live video reaction on Devers being traded. It sucked…. and now I feel like it was for absolutely nothing. As a diehard life long sox fan who goes to 5-10 games a year, this makes me pissed.
Its official. We are the Tampa Bay Rays. Except the Sox have way more revenue. We weren't good enough last year offensively with Bregman. This roster is NOT constructed well. Way too left handed with 4 starting out fielders and an infield of guys with major injury histories. We got lucky with Trevor last year. HRs win titles – refer to game 7 late innings last year.
I find the off season very frustrating but do we know what the Sox offered? I feel like I heard a number but didn't really pay attention to it.
I haven't had any faith in the Sox management/ownership since the Mookie trade. On a different note, I feel baseball needs a salary cap. MLB is a league of have and have nots. Sone teams simply cannot compete with clubs like L.A. and N.Y.
Good.Move on
