30. Jed doesn’t mind being used as leverage. Cubs come up all the time on things that will never happen. Agents and other teams LOVE to use the threat of a cubs transaction to get what they want. And Jed never comments on anything so it’s never denied.

    Seems obvious the Yankees are using this to spur someone to sign. Basically saying, “if you don’t take this deal, we’ll just go trade for Nico.” Knowing Jed won’t shoot it down so it can’t be 100% dismissed.
