  1. the whole culture thing is so overused, teams are good when they have talented players and have great leaders on the roster and staff, teams stay consistently good when they have a front office that can find those things… setting a “culture” is not how you win games, you can have all the right messaging, have the most regimented and disciplined group there is, yet there’s still no guarantee that translates to wins if you’re lacking schematically or don’t have the right pieces

  2. Green Bay have lost the last 6 games including blowing a 21-3 lead at half time and a scoreless 3rd qtr last night. That’s so Dolphinlike, do we really want to consider GB coaches?

  4. For some teams…culture does matter. The Jets have a crap culture…it's all about losing there. Even when they have good players, they lose. The Steelers — a grand history that stresses culture — make the playoffs year in and year out. If you have a losing culture — that will create a losing environment. If you have a winning culture — a good coach will have the players buy into that and they will try to live up to it.
