This article from Stan Fischler may break hearts, since Dolan considers the Rangers a family business that they will not sell.

That said, his kin likely will run team way better than Drury has.

Better to have little Dolan and talented GM than the path we’re on.

My hope." said Dolan, "is when my kids grow up and take my place. Just as I did with my Dad (Chuck Dolan)."

Not only that but Jim Dolan is making good on his family word. And if you're still a doubter, check the Rangers directory under the title: "Rangers Senior Vice-President, Player Performance and Science Leader."

Is Dolan son, being groomed to take over Rangers?

  1. Doesn’t his kid have to be told why the Rangers can’t just trade for any player they want or something?

  2. If the Giants nepo-baby problem has taught me anything, it’s that the problem is going to get so much worse

  3. Pains me to say this because the rangers are the team that really got me into sports when I was a kid but man the islanders are going to run New York hockey for the next generation unless Dolan runs this thing like a functioning organization

  4. Doesn’t bother me, really. Dolan wasn’t the reason we lost to Florida..or Tampa in 15. Or the kings in the SCF. Ask Mets fans how they feel about their owner these days by the way. A year ago he was a godsend. T

  5. I’m not sure how this is at all groundbreaking and why anyone expected something different.

  6. I guess that all depends on what his kids want. If his son is an actual fan and wants to see them win I’m ok with it, sometimes sons aren’t like their father.

  7. This franchise is so utterly bad AND unlikeable I’m gonna have to shop for a secondary team cuz this all ain’t worth it. I feel like Sam’s exit marked a near death as he was the last bright spot for this team.
