And this guy keeps his hands in both pockets,
The REASON you can play doinguez full time in left is BECAUSE you habe Judge , because you have Jazz , grisham Rice …. you have power amongst these guys sooooo you have the luxury of letting one player develop . Thats the point. If you didnt have a hall of fame player on your team ita harder to put youth on your team . But you do, you got a guy whos like 2 players in one for average and power -Judge. So let the kid play
The fact is teams are spending a lot more than they used to in terms of percentage. So it feels like the Yankees aren’t spending anymore, they are, others are just doing it to. For example the 12th highest payroll in 2005 spent 35% of what the team with the #1 payroll spent. In 2025 the 12th highest payroll spent 58% of what the #1 team spent. And that isn’t factoring deferred money. If you do that it goes all the way up to 65%. Also George didn’t have to deal with luxury tax and revenue sharing like today.
Yanks- get Nico. He would be a good fit.
I have noticed a lot of Yankees fans don’t understand how the system works. They see the Yankees have 800 million in revenue and think “derp that means they have 800 million to spend before losing money). That’s 800 million BEFORE revenue sharing. Every team has to put half of their revenue into a pot and it gets split equally between all teams. So the Yankees have to put 400 million into the pot and they get back about 125 million. That puts their REAL revenue at 525 million. Dodgers were the first team to pass 1 billion last year (Ohtani) which makes their REAL revenue 625 million. The difference between the Dodgers and the Yankees is the Dodgers are owned by Guggenheim which has 300 billion available for investment funding. The Yankees are owned by 4 siblings whose entire net worth is tied to the Yankees. I guarantee if the Yankees payroll is at 300 million each siblings is getting about 35 million a year. If the Yankees raise payroll to 330 million they only get 17 million each because there is a 100% tax on that 30 million. If they raise payroll to 360 million they are working for free
Unfortunately the Cubs would only want Rice and I don’t see the Yankees willing to deal Rice away.
Why the fuck would we give up a potential 5 tool player, that some would say could be the lefty Aaron Judge, for a 28-year-old already developed contact first guy who will always be just that……… Sorry no and he is a rental lol fuck no, guy could turn into a bum over here. Go get Bo Bichette, move jazz thot ass to third, or flip him and Bo whatever, then make a deal for Hoerner that doesn't involve getting royally fucked. You're the Yankees bro, do big dog shit have some balls!
Listen, at this point be better to watch and see what "moves" the NYY will do. I'll not hold my breath on Cashman. He is a complete disappointment…he waisted time on Bellinger, and now he is throwing nuddles on the wall..

Just an FYI Pete Nico is a Free Agent next year (not fully finished with the live so not sure if you or anyone corrected it when you said he has a few years of control)
Nico SS bichette 2B jazz at third would be an unlikely dream
Redsox could possibly want Nico and have more to offer or more willing to give up pieces for him.
