The Kids Are More Than Alright
The last 48 hours in Chicago have been absolute chaos. Connor Bedard makes his return, both goalies get wiped out by the flu, the Hawks go from laying an egg one night to putting on a show the next… and how about da bearssss! It was a rollercoaster of a weekend #chicago #chicagoblackhawks #connorbedard #bedard #blackhawks #drewcommesso #hockey #icehockey #nhl #nhlhighlights #nhlrecaps

Thoughts on Drew Commesso?👀🔥
Uncle Drew with a nice bonce back game.
Korchinski looked better.
Bedard was Bedard…
Lardis isn't afraid to shoot. That's desperately needed on a team that overpasses too much
Oliver Moore is my fav on the team. I'm rooting for him so hard
Lardis's shot is comparable to Connor Bedard's. He gets the shot off quickly, the puck explodes off of his stick and it is accurate, almost always on net. He is an ideal linemate for Bedard, someone who can convert Bedard's uncanny passes into high-danger shots. I hope the Blackhawks front office is not dumb enough to send him back to the AHL, especially on a Blackhawks team lacking offense.
people shit on sods but he's an alright goalie, excellent back up, knight is a beast, drew might be the next one, and then olympian adam gajan is still to play. the future is secure boys.
I neeed a Moore and Lardis jersey
We need a Moore bulls player
The one thing the Hawks must address is the need for a BIG MEAN player to protect the kids. We can pretend the NHL has moved on from enforcers, but the truth is that having to answer the bell after a dirty hit has its own way of making those dirty hits a lot less likely. Players like Wilson from Washington, who can play the game and protect the team's stars, are worth their weight in gold. The Hawks need an enforcer that is not a I will meet you at center ice for the fight, but a I am going to kill you for hitting our star like that. If the Hawks do not get someone soon, these kids are going to get hammered and injured to the point we lose a up in coming star.
Nice to see a bounce back from Commesso but the Perds are not a good team.
I was watching this double barrel with the Hawks on my phone and Bears on the big screen. That said, Commesso fought his ass off and carried us for this game. Also credit to Korch for having a good bounce back game, funny what happens when you had time to prepare. Unreal night for Chicago sports.
– Hawks win
– Bulls beat Cooper Flagg and the Mavs in a game the Bulls probably should have moved to the afternoon as a warmup for the others
– Cubs signing Bregman
– and that game I’m sure no one is talking about… seriously I’m still gobsmacked the Bears won. Iceman! ❄️🥶❄️🥶🐻⬇️
So big for comesso! I don't think there's any reason to keep him up knowing that he's only going to develop by getting regular time in the AHL, but man, having a shutout like that after Friday night is so huge for him going forward. I think he's going to go back to Rockford with a new confidence in himself and wouldn't be surprised to see him go on a bit of a streak
Hawks on the upswing!
Also bloomington bison posted a shutout against Cincinnati cyclones that same night. The whole state was winning
iirc Scott Foster was at the morning skate on Friday?
Moore Lardis and Bedard!
pretty cool for berezhnoy to get a day in the nhl, even if he didn't play. really love watching him play in rockford
KK did not lose his man on the 1st goal. That was Lardi's man.
You point is not wrong though.
So happy for Comesso!!! The question us, when Nazar returns do you keep Moore as 2C and move Nazar up to Bedards wing. Do you move Nazar uo to 1C and keep Bedard at Wing. At this point I can't see Lardis being returned to Rockford. Nor would I be against keeping Comesso up and sending Soderblum to Rockford, who should easily clear waivers.
Korchinski needs 20 lbs of something..too skinny and too soft..
Just not good enough to play for your country because galaxy brain
