[Trueblood] Sources: Brewers “Moving Toward” Freddy Peralta Trade, with Yankees in Lead

  1. this would be a real game changer but by god i need it confirmed by passan

we have basically been blue balled this entire offseason

  2. I’ll believe it when I see it, I swear reporters use the Yankees just to get more clicks on their tweet or article

  3. I don’t know how much they’ll give up for him but I think he’s overrated. Entering his age 30 season, career ERA in the mid 3’s, very high BB9. All of this gets worse when you start pitching in the pressure of Yankee Stadium and the hitter friendly parks of the AL East.

  4. If this actually gets done having a playoff staff of Cole, Peralta, Fried and Rodon with Cam as long relief as actually disgusting. We have a good pen too

Too bad our offensive is going to be atrocious

  5. Sounds about right and then breaking news that he signs somewhere else. Story of this frustrating off season!!

  6. Peralta will be a fantastic addition.

Cole, Fried, Rodon, Peralta, Cam, & whoever we keep between Luis Gil & Will Warren is a dirty rotation.

Obviously need to address the offense but this is a great move and we need to do something

  7. Gil headlined move would be interesting because MIL is making a big bet on their development system. They do have one of the best in business but Yankees aren’t bad with pitchers either. I’d prefer getting Gore but if they want Washington likely isn’t as interested in a Gil so pivoting here makes sense. Hope it’s true (and the prospects attached to Gil aren’t in our big 4)

  8. Serious question, because I seem to recall too many failures, but when was the last time Cashman made a trade for a good-to-very good starting pitcher that didn’t blow up in the team’s face?

I have memories of Kevin Brown, Javier Vazquez, Sonny Gray, Jeff Weaver, heck even kinda Randy Johnson… just real bad stuff long-term.

  9. Peralta would be a dream come true, add an impact bat whether it’s Bellinger or someone else, and the core of the offseason is done.

  10. I’m not as big on Gil as others. He walks just way too many. He cant pitch deep into games. So I wont be upset to part with him. I’d try to hang onto Lagrange. Id prefer him over Hess. Seen them both pitch live multiple times

  11. All I can think of with this is the HBO series and how off the rails that whole show was its entire run.  Seems like a good analogy for the off-season thus far.

Now all we need is Lafayette Reynolds doing commentary in the YES booth.  Would be both hilarious and offer up nonstop uncomfortable Kay moments.

As for the rumor, gonna need something more to get excited.
