  1. No coach in his right mind takes a "step back year". Total homer thinking. THIS IS A JOB!!! If he goes to any one of those rotten teams as HC, he gets 2-3 years making HC money. Even if he fails and gets fired in 2-3 years, he can still be an OC anywhere in the NFL. Any HC offer and McDaniel is stupid to not take it.

  2. I think some of those guaranteed dollars from Miami go away if he takes another HC position. If he becomes an OC, those guarantees can’t be touched.

  3. Egghead Jr. will also be paid by Miami as well over the next few seasons, so if Detroit could offer him the highest paid OC in the league, he will certainly get the money in totality. Lions need an outsider like this in my opinion, I would be happy as a fan anyway. Just please no more insiders or friends of MCDC.

  4. I think in all reality we hire a solid pass game guy from Seattle or LA who won’t be a one and done coordinator and leave after a good season. Someone from an explosive offense not an old head who’s got old schemes and lacks creativity (Cough John Morton)

  5. I honestly don't see him getting a HC position. This league feeds on result driven, playoff proven HC's. That he is not. This could deffinitly feed right into the Lions paws. Would love to see this happen! 🤞
