  1. I can’t believe she got so much flak from so many people and organizations over this. Shoot as a fan I needed that more than anybody probably. I was in a hole and that sweet sweet voice and words of encouragement made me immediately feel better and ready to run through a brick wall all over again next season!

  15. There’s so much fucking negativity in the country right now, and it really pisses me off that this is what people are going to criticize and have a problem with. Is it really so bad to have one moment of genuine kindness and humanity in a press conference? Mark Long is such a tool and so is anyone else ripping this exchange

  18. Yesterday’s back and forth battle, then sudden and heartbreaking end when we were so close left me speechless on my couch for an hour.

    As fans we invest emotionally and the payoff for that is the high of victory. The unavoidable consequence is the agony of defeat. 31 fanbases will experience that this year. I can only imagine what it’s like for someone in a player or coaches position who has invested infinitely more. Then to have to go out immediately and answer for it…well…these guys are made of some tough material.

  21. As soon as I saw that I knew she was going to get flak from sports reporters. I was a tv news guy years ago. Sports reporters especially beat reporters even hated regular news reporters going into locker rooms never mind a smaller independent outlet. They consider it their personal domain. 75% were douches too – others were cool and welcomed everyone. Really speaks to his character and what kind of person he is to publicly post a shaming comment like that.
