Koloko's second 10 day contract has expired and he's a free agent again. He would have to be signed for the rest of the year under NBA and CBA rules. He's not listed under on the roster and I'm not sure if he made the trip to Europe, so I assume that he's played his last game for us. That hopefully signals that the FO expects a return of Zach Edey soon. I'm not sure about BC's status.

I just wanted to post this on here to express my appreciation for Koloko for his time in Memphis. He understood his role and assignment, played hard, and contributed quality minutes when we were desperate for bigs. It couldn't have been easy to be a free agent sitting on the couch (I think maybe he was on a G League team actually) and go into a new team, especially one that's having some locker room drama or at least finding its identity under a new system, and he went out, hustled, and acquitted himself quite nicely.

Best of luck to him in his career, wherever it takes him (as long as it's not back to the Lakers)! I'd love for a reporter to get ahold of him for some inside insight about the current state of the team. Thank you, Christian!

  1. I felt bad that he’s probably done in the NBA then I thought to myself this guy has been in the NBA since 2022 and doesn’t have 1 scoring move. He even was getting the ball on the grizzlies with how they try to get everyone involved. He’s a failed NBA project, but I guess he tried his best and I hope he improves as a player in the next league he plays in.

  2. Tbh, he deserves that 2way spot over maschack just fpr the fact alone they need a bigman instead of another guard who cant shoot. But they signed him even though he wont get any playing time. Lol they have maschack’s rights for years, that signing was unnecessary.

  3. I don’t think his leaving signals an Edey return. You can’t sign him indefinitely, just twice. After that you gotta find someone else.

  4. He was hustling last night. Good luck Christian! Would love to see you back in a Grizz jersey soon
