Too many drops, I agree with the gradeĀ
Pretty spot on. More I watch him evaluate, the more I like. Knows his shit.
missile balls aren’t easy to catch I guess
This was posted here yesterday.
His ability to play the ball in the air is his biggest detriment. He gets himself turned around in awkward positions a lot that I think leads to some of the bad drops. A little bit like a baby gazelle.
Seems pretty fair, feels like those were some of his biggest flaws coming out of college, so he still needs to be coached up or needs to work on similar things. Too upright and too inconsistent with drop problems, but good tools to work with
Makes sense to be sitting somewhere in between being pictured as a WR3 and WR5 spot. He could easily jump into being a WR2 with some improvements. Interesting to hear Smith opine that he’s a little too rigid and upright and that sort of limits how ability to play slot. But if he can improve consistency and work on attacking the ball more, feels like both at the point of the catch and putting himself in position to make the catch (felt like he was way too passive, like he was lacking the fight to think that’s *my* ball and going after it and boxing out the defender and more just approached it like he was ready to catch it when it got to him)
Next year could be big for him hope we get some better coaches for our guys
