I do not trust Rob to build a team around Luka this summer
Don’t worry, rumor has it that if we’re patient then this summer we may trade for a single 3 and D wing.
I hate to say it but this is a gap year.
After this season they got a shitload of expiring contracts and then hopefully Pelinka is fired and then the Lakers can build a true contender around Luka.
This is true for everyone. Doncic isn’t unique. SGA and Tatum needed some of the most stacked rosters ever seen to get over the line. Jokic and Giannis had amazing teams too. All had players who were competent on both ends.
It’s so sad cause it’s literally the same thing we’ve needed ever since bron joined
Are there teams out there that win without shooting and playing defense?
Well we only had the MLE and BAE to spend last summer and we used them on Ayton, Smart and LaRavia, all pretty vital rotation players now.
Things will be better once the Lakers get more cap space this summer and can address their shortcomings better.
Some of you guys were right, Luka should pass more. His teammates are great at scoring!
Don’t worry we have picks to use in the offseason again because we won’t use any this season. Rebuild season guys trust I’m sure Luka and Lebron acknowledged what this year will be and are completely fine with it
Lakers failed to surround LeBron with shooting his entire Lakers tenure… I feel bad for Luka, he has no idea what’s coming

This is literaly the case for any player, not just Luka. You cant win shit with role players thst are literaly good at nothing. Like how they are good at nothing or how they are still in the league is beyond me but they are.

The team you build around Luka is the same sort of team you build around LeBron guys that defend and can shoot. Pelinka did that for 1 season and then failed at doing it again with LeBron rob will do the same exact thing to Luka.
that’s why Rob still has to go. been gifted Lebron, AD and Luka yet still can’t seem to make a decent roster to compliment the superstars except that one year in the bubble
the really frustrating thing is you need shooting & defense on every team to be successful 😀😀😀😀😀 rob has shown complete failure for 5 straight offseasons

We finally got an efficient Luka game and it was WASTED!! 🤮
I think if they can trade Gabe, Kleiber, Knecht and possibly Vando for a couple solid 3 and D wings then have rui and reaves come off the bench they’ll be right there. I’ve said this before but unless you are absolute tip of the spear you cannot be short in the nba and ontop of that you have to be a good shooter if you’re a corner. Being ‘able’ to make a 3 is different from being able to easily make 3s.
They’ve lacked Shooting and defense for 5 FUCKING SEASONS. Every AD and lebron permutation of the team the last few years has had the same issues. It continues with Luka and it will continue to do so while the Los Angeles Lakers continue to employ one BOB PELINKA.
What team doesn’t need shooting and defense? Bro isn’t exactly saying anything earth shattering here
It sucks because you can still see the effects of the AD/Luka trade. This team as it is now was designed around AD and LBJ in mind.
The modern nba, for the most part, requires shooting and defense. Lakers haven’t had that since the westbrook trade
We have to throw a 35 million dollar offer sheet at Kessler. In the meantime, we secure Quentin Grimes at 20 million a yr. He will help with youth and athleticism in the back court. Then we negotiate a S&T for Tari Eason that will send them Vando. Vando is a much more friendly deal for the Rockets than Eason. By then we should know if we got Kessler if yes then great our defense has beefed up considerably and we fill the gaps with vet mins and whatever cap we have.
Is there any chance of Pelinka being removed? I feel he’s going to pull some mid trades that are a lateral move at best just to save his job.
Don’t put in so much hope for lakers this season as they are clearly not a contender even from the start of the season. Might as well relax back and wait till next season.
Pelinka made a decent trade for AD, got a championship team, and blew it up. He is not staying longterm with the new ownership
That’s something you need on EVERY team. With or without Luka, this team is very poorly constructed.
How many 3 and D guys has Pelinka let walk or trade during his tenure?
dalton really pisses me off, after that jazz game in his rookie year when he made like 6 threes in a row I thought for sure we had ourselves a sniper for the future but hes worse from 3 than vando this season
Need lob threats that are scrappy and can fight for rebounds. Not soft lazy 7 footers that wash their hands in margarine.
Ever since Bron got on the team, that’s all that was needed, Rob hasn’t been able to figure that out even 7 years later lol
It’s beyond time to fire Pelinka. He cannot build a roster. His only strength is no brainer star trades that fall into his lap
