The r/nba thread on this is hilarious. So many people in there acting like Mazulla went up there and said something heinous and out of pocket. Who gives a shit if the media doesn’t get a postgame quote for one game.
Amazing. Joe knows that no one’s gonna watch this (even in Boston) after the Pats won, so might as well make it entertaining.
I wonder if he’ll get fined, cos this is actually a good media strategy to call out refs, like erm Tatum could clap at every question
As a completely neutral fan with no real interest in either team winning or losing, I loved how the game was officiated.. it was physical hard defense with very little stoppage.
Made it very fun to watch. And it’s not like it was Pacers alone benefiting from the no calls.
If Celtics hit their shots better they would have won easily.

This isn’t cute. Joe’s entire coaching philosophy is built on this idea that the margins between winning and losing are razor-thin, so a win doesn’t mean everything’s good and a loss doesn’t mean everything’s bad. And yet I have a sneaky suspicion that if Derrick White hit that shot, Joe wouldn’t be sitting there like an angry ten-year-old whining about illegal screens.
Joe is a great coach and he does most of the job at an elite level but this isn’t cute.
Could you imagine Brad Stevens in 2019 after a loss being like “illegal screen… illegal screen… illegal screen”
