They’re in here acting like 0 degrees is going to only affect the Rams lmao

They actin like this is how players go to Soldier Field all year.

It’s normal. They’ll look for any advantage they can have over us. I don’t blame them one bit. Whether it actually ends up being an advantage or not is different.
This is the game we signed Davante for. He needs to make up for that panthers game. He spent most of his career in the cold. Let’s go!
It’s not like the Bears are used to playing at Soldier Field in mid-January.
As a Bears fan, it’s the main advantage we have. It is real, maybe not a huge impact but it’ll be something. And we have no other advantages to talk about because the only way to avoid Nahshon Wright giving up 250 to Puka is 50 mph winds
The advantage comes from the familiarity with the cold.
For example… Little things like understanding that the field feels like cement in the cold, so certain players wear the thicker pads. They know exactly what length spikes work best on that field when the ground is frozen. They know exactly what thermals or layers to wear that don’t restrict movement. Or adjusting your team meals to help prepare for the weather. They have tricks and techniques to manage players on the sidelines better, etc
It has nothing to do with the players somehow being immune to the cold. The cold sucks for everyone.
Yup apparently it’ll only be cold for the rams
Im just here to say. Stafford came from Detroit.
It certainly affected you guys in 2018…

It’s definitely not this massive deal, and you’re not wrong that players don’t magically get a “resist frost” buff just because they’re on the Bears.
BUT…one thing that is very real is that if you live in a cold climate, your body adjusts to the temp. Chicagoans act like we’re immune to cold, but the first time it hits 32° every year, we’re all freezing. Then after a couple of weeks, 32° doesn’t feel that bad anymore. Another example would be fall vs spring golf. In the fall when it hits 50° or lower, golf becomes miserable. In the spring when it hits 50°, courses are full of dudes wearing shorts.
So the Rams players will definitely be less adjusted to the cold and it will definitely feel worse for them. Doesn’t mean the Bears have this massive advantage, but it’s definitely a factor.
