For those that care about Rodgers thoughts.

  1. Interesting that he brought up LaFleur completely unprompted in a question about Tomlin.

Shows you he’s still keeping tabs on us, even if the two situations are somewhat related.

  2. Yeah like MLF had injuries on offense and defense that devastated the team. He deserves one more year at least to prove he can win a playoff game before getting Micah back.

  3. I disagree but clearly MLF is well liked. Doesn’t mean he should continue to be our coach though.

  4. So here’s my question on coach contracts, if we sign Matt to say a 4 or 5 year extension, how long will it be before we could realistically move on if we continue to fall short?

Since they don’t count againt the salary cap, is there any precedent for an NFL coach getting an extension then being cut? There must be. But I’d assume that’s more plausible for a team owned by a billionaire, and maybe not so much for a publicly owned team on a tighter budget like the Packers.

I want to see some changes, but I don’t think we’d be able to find any upgrades at the HC position this year.

  5. Dawg, you were literally calling audibles out of 75% of the plays MLF was calling….

  6. I don’t mind if he stays, I just want change, accountability, learning from mistakes, and for the team to play with fire all 4 quarters

  7. Two things can be true.
    1. MLF is great play designer and schemes that has his teams almost always in games
    2. He’s a bad game manager and coaching staff organizer that has shown he can’t make the tough decisions that are necessary to have post season success.

The problem is I don’t see him taking a backseat in those things and if he were fired today he would definitely get a head coaching job by the end of the week.

  8. Rodgers is an absolute genius at the quarterback position. There may never be a more intelligent qb in the nfl. However he is profoundly stupid on nearly everything outside of being a qb and has brainwashed himself into thinking he’s always the smartest person in the room.

  9. “MLF is a good coach.”

    “No, that’s just not true.”

  10. Rodger’s is just looking for an easier game next season. Don’t listen to him, lol

    Seriously though, fuck MLF.

  11. The funnier part is when Rodgers talks about being grateful to be on teams that have rich tradition and expectations of excellence with a strong fanbase and he’s proud to have been on “two of them”. Lesson to Love: Don’t go to the Jets when you are old haha

  12. Whatever….

Truth is MLF will not get us there and we will look back and be absolutely pissed off when the primes of Love,Watson,Parsons and Kraft where wasted because he continues to hold back the team. and the ones that want to keep him will be the same ones bitching about it and why we never go that far and will have to start a rebuild all over again it’s a ridiculous catch 22.

  13. I want to see the Gutekunst/Rodgers MMA fight.  You can tell Aaron just loathes him.

  14. I agree with him. Both coaches have their teams in playoffs each year, which is incredibly difficult.

Both coaches would be picked up as head coaches by other teams if released.

If going for an unknown quantity coach and retooling an entire team philosophy were better than what you have, then fine. However the spike up for either team to go from dead bears team (edge of playoffs last year) to Ben Johnson performance (2 seed and 3 games from elimination) is much lesser than throwing stable franchises into tailspin and looking like titans firing vrabel

  15. They are both his friends as well. I’m not saying he’s wrong but he also was an adamant Hackett defender from what I recall

  16. A player defends a coach he likes personally. How unusual.

(The sarcasm was meant as a shared laugh, not a snarky dig at OP)

  17. It’s crazy cuz one can only wonder what if him and Matt had worked out the differences?

  18. The size disparity on the Texans is concerning. Their d line doesnt even do anything, they push until the o line breaks. How do you play against that lol. I dont think you fire Tomlin over something you can’t really control. Texans have been huffing draft picks for years and its just happening to click.

Lechoke is routinely limping into easy games and folding. The attitude on the team is clearly affected by it. The whole team knew the first half was not enough and so did the fans
