    When Stafford left I absolutely rooted for him to get a ring. Hell, I’m rooting for him again (after only the Bills), and some fans were completely bent out of shape about that, calling me lame.

  17. That’s hilarious. But I am rooting for the Bears and I’m not a cuck. I grew up in a household of Bears fans and I’m happy for people I care about. Plus I liked Ben with our teams and wish him success just like Aaron Glen. Just not when we are playing them. I also like anyone being able to humble the Packers.

  29. Bro I’m a diehard bears fan and was cheering for you guys hard the past few seasons when you deep in the playoff runs. I actually follow this sub because I genuinely enjoyed watching you guys play. Also because you guys have been a shit team for most of my life. I don’t say that to be mean. I just always seemed that as an outsider.

    So yes we have your ex oc. But my god we’ve fucking sucked for 35 years. So just cheer for us. We aint the vikings or pack. We’ve never really had a huge rivalry because we’ve both been irrelevant for so long.

  33. As a Chicago resident I can tell you the entire city rooted for the Lions for the past few years. The one exception being once we fired our head coach we rooted for the lions season to end so we could see what happens with BJ. I won’t deny that. But we were all on the Lions bandwagon.

    We were absolutely thrilled that the Lions took the mantle from the Packers. And we were hoping for you guys to win the SB every playoffs. For one we wanted you to rep the north in the NFL instead of the packers. For two we felt like if you could do it we could too. So we were living vicariously through the Lions.

    Seeing all this hate coming from Lions fans this year has been really weird. I always thought as much as we give each other shit we had our own backs against the green slime that ruled the north for decades.

  43. I live in Chicago and I can tell you this whole city was rooting for us the past few years. My friends who are bears fans were right by my side watching all the games. I’m returning the favor and watching some fun football at the same time.

  49. I keep forgetting everything regarding football needs to be cleared and validated through this sub first. Gotta make sure my permission slip is signed before anything I do anything non-Lion related. I’m not a Bears fan, but I’m also not-not a Bears fan either. If they’re on, I watch, hope they win. But against my team, obviously I want them to lose.
