NAH: New Orleans Saints Should Avoid A.J. Brown TRADE, Build Future With Smart Draft Moves
The New Orleans Saints should not pursue Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and instead invest in young draft talent to build around Chris Olave. Salary cap flexibility, locker room culture, and future contract negotiations steer the debate, making this offseason’s wide receiver strategy a hot topic. Cost-controlled rookies like Jordyn Tyson, Carnell Tate, Elijah Sarratt, and Chris Bell could reshape the Saints’ offense without a blockbuster trade to disrupt their long-term plans.
QB Tyler Shough anchors New Orleans’ youth movement and offers flexibility amid roster-building challenges. With emerging stars like Devaughn Vele and promising defenders Chase Young, Jonas Sanker, and Kool-Aid McKinstry, the Saints have a foundation to attract top talent. Will they address interior offensive line and tight end depth in the draft or free agency? Plus, keep an eye on division rivals—Panthers running back Rico Dowdle might be looking for a new home and a revenge storyline.

Right Ross. Avoid at all costs
I 100000% agree. If a player exhibits bad character, a change of scenery will not fix their character. It may only conceal it for a few weeks, months or years. But eventually, it will resurface..
Brown is a cancer. Stay away.
A TICKING Time BOMB Waiting To EXPLODEEEEEE! HECK TO THE NO NOOOOOOO!!!!!!🤨🤔🫡
Just go get Denzel Boston in the 2nd Round. That kid would fit into this offense well
Hell NO on AJ Brown he’s another MT13… bad locker room guy.
I agree with that sentiment I've seen how he talks to his coach and I don't respect it.
The guy is washed anyway. Just like Devonta Adams. The Saints NEED Jeremiyah Love.
Absolutely a bad fit. He’s a cancer in a locker room.
I couldn't agree with you more
We don't need anyone that has a short fuse
We are building a team just avoid broken pieces.
We have a good team just need player's to get off there ass and do the job they are being paid for.
I have mocked them trading back and taking Conception/Sarratt/Z. Branch to pair with Olave and Vele 🔥🔥🔥
We dont need these washed up player's get somebody you can mold into something and make him a true player because these boys look like they want to play for Kellen Moore.
Defense Defense Defense during d draft
Leave AJ. Brown where he is. Use your draft picks and pratice squad player's and mold this team into a championship playing team.
Yes, we don't need another Michael Thomas! There are too many young players who can be just as good.

AJBrown is family
I'm just not as excited as some. This whole thing reminds me of last year's Atlanta.
Atlanta was excited about their young QB and some late season wins but there were unsubstantial improvements and a soft schedule, like a win against a poor Saints team that had them thinking they would be the best in the division this year. This year, they didn't make the playoffs and fired the coach and GM.
Way too much money for the heartburn he would cause. Not a team guy, but a ME guy.
Isaiah Foskey hasn’t been on the roster for a while.
Saints need fresh young and hungry talent
Yes not a good fit saints should get a WR in the draft
Flacco? As a mentor?
I believe the AJ Brown trade would benefit Tyler and the Saints offense. AJ is a number 1 WR and this helps Chris Olvae as a true #2 WR. Philly would have to lower the trade demands because of his contract and production – which they helped lower do to them not getting him the ball. The Saints could work a deal with the Eagles where Philly takes some of the money hit for a higher draft pick in return and player from the Saints. Breese seems to not fit the defensive scheme. Draft picks swap as well, with New Orleans Saints getting a third round pick
AJ turning into TO without the catching skills
Agree completely, Ross. We don't need a diva causing problems.
A real one 🥲 who, ME! 🫡
AJ Brown name should not even be mentioned in any Saints related news.
We’re building around a 1st year pro that’s a contender for offensive rook of the year. No bad apples, no prima Donna’s and I want to keep it that way. Hard pass.
Jawan Johnson “reliable” ??? 👀👀
Go draft wr Elijah sarratt from Indiana… Him , olave and vele would be a awesome trio
