Lucky to have him, but dammit Kyle, totally revamp the training philosophy. Put down the scraps, come out of the cave and build a shiny new exosuit painted in hot rod colors.

They have so little clue what it takes in the NFL and how difficult it would be to find a better coach. They think emotionally not logically. The hardest part of being a fan who discusses football at a high level is having to ignore people like this at their emotional levels who think they are part of the team and the teams success or failure is tied to their self worth.

100%. It’s the first time I can ever remember feeling like I’d be very satisfied with a 49er season even if they get knocked out of the playoffs next week or the following. They’ve accomplished so much against all odds. It’s incredible.
He’s the best thing to happen to this franchise in my lifetime. My favorite 49er of all time.
Man doesn’t know if players will be alive the next week, but he sure can coach.

And yet if they don’t win the SB, dumb, spoiled fans will be calling for him and Lynch to be fired. If this season doesn’t show the dumb, spoiled fans how great of a coach Shanahan is, then I don’t know what will. No other team makes it this far with these injuries
Imagine if we had to hire a new offensive coordinator every year. In a league full of copy cats, this alone makes him invaluable.

Any other coach/team would’ve won 5 games *maybe* with the same amount of high profile injuries we’ve had. It’s insane he isn’t a lock for CotY

Shanahan is the best coach we’ve had since Walsh, and those are some enormous shoes to fill. Anyone suggesting that ownership fires him is a complete fool.
I am one of the biggest critics of his play calling and decision making.I take my hat off for him putting together a contender with all the injuries day in and day out. Great Job Coach

I don’t quite understand it because sports books have him as the 6th most likely to win COY. I get other teams have the one seed but the context of the season, nobody matches what Shanahan has done.

Anyone who wants to move on from him because he hasn’t won it all, doesn’t understand how hard it is to even get there and have a chance.
I truly wouldn’t want anyone else coaching my 49ers. I know they’ll be criticism about him, but I truly appreciate all that hes done for this organization. I truly hope he gets that Super Bowl win to continue to cement his legacy.
