One less Breslow target

I bet we were interested
I’m not upset at missing out on an aging Arenado. I’d rather have Bo (obviously), Suarez, or Donovan before him.
Still, less 3rd basemen left on the market will affect the price of those guys.
thank god
Arenado is a top 3 favorite player for me, would have loved another trade with St. Louis
this is impossible. no-trade clauses are immutable and binding. that’s why we can’t ever give one our because the player never will never waive it.
Arenado was never high on my
personal list of people for the Sox to trade for, would rather he look at suarez or bichette
Phew!
Arizona will only pay $11 million of what’s left of the contract.
Hang the interest banner
Dbacks saved Breslow from himself
looking to deal marte then trading for arrenado?
with tommy troy on the way as early as spring training this year, a spot for lawlar,
marte is back on the menu boys.
I would love for craig to understand the concept of leverage (not that we needed him specifically but we do need someone)
Guy cant hit anymore
The Cardinals can trade with other teams? Who knew!
Still think a package of him and Donovan for Masa would have been decent, despite the downvotes.
Maybe they still get Donovan…but it’ll cost more and Masa won’t be involved.
lol Dbacks going backwards
Hey that’s our farm team
[x] – marked safe from trading for the corpse of Nolan Arenado
Adding a 3B ship sailed long ago. It’s Mayer.
So happy this wasn’t us js
Arenado is washed. He’s a below league average hitter at this point and his defense has dropped to barely above average. Getting him would have been worse than doing nothing. Much rather have Mayer at 3B every day developing as a player than wasting a lineup spot on a guy way past his prime that will have no role in this young team’s future.
Thank god. I didn’t want the Sox anywhere near Arenado, and now he’s not available. I’d rather have pretty much any of the still available IF free agents than him.
He is one of my favorite player outside of Sox but I am glad that he is out of market. So our front office wont call Bloom for the third time
First time the cardinals have traded to someone other than the Red Sox in recent memory!
Bullet dodged.
Start looking at an Alec Bohm trade boyos.
We were never trading for him.
Saved Breslow from this thankfully
Cardinals fans seem happy enough that he’s gone.
I know that the front office said he wasn’t going anywhere, but a trade for Marte makes so much sense right now. The Diamondbacks need a left fielder and they have two startable infielders, Blaze Alexander and Lawler, on the bench. Duran + young pitching + prospect for Marte. Let’s do it.
Were the Red Sox even in on him? I know they were last year.
This is one I give the Sox a pass on. Sure they’ve been connected over the years and the Sox’ own offseason approach created a hole he would plug I just don’t think he’s bringing that war crazy
This is good for us right?
Damn i would have loved Nolan here. Still a good defender at 3rd and declining offense for sure, but I always liked him
