Yankees are aNot a budging on 5 years and why should they… they seem to be trying to look for a solution with opt outs, no deferrals etc. I think they land at 6years how about you?

He’s had two good years out of the last six.
How did this off-season hinder on a guy they had last year and still didn’t even win the division bc of playing 500 ball the entire second half
Go get Bo and offer Bellinger a Bregman-like one year deal. Who else wants him besides us?
I think they shouldn’t go to six years, but I think Bellinger’s camp knows that the Yankees aren’t genuinely pivoting from Cody, so they’re holding out until Tucker signs, and that will push the Yankees to six years.
I don’t think they make any impact trades aside from the potential Freddy Peralta trade that may happen. I don’t think Jasson is valued enough by other teams to get a really good player back in a deal, and Jones is probably a big red flag with that strikeout rate.
Give him 5 years with opt outs at year 2 and 3 and the Yankees can cancel each optout by adding 1 extra year.
But what is an even better idea…sign Tucker instead (or fuck it be the Yankees and do both. Stop letting other teams beat you, then go trade for peralta too…then make all your silly little death star noises and shit with 2 strikes 2 outs)
No 6 Years
Trade Bellinger somewhere else.
Freddy Peralita over Cody Bellinger
Bellinger to Pirates
I know he’s a free agent
No 5 years
Isn’t Peralta like Bellinger and Soto? How much can we give up for another guy that will leave after 1 year and disappoint us like them?
