– Final FPI ranking: 23rd

ESPN On Saints’ Top Priority
Make decisions about veterans. Linebacker Demario Davis will be 37 in January, and defensive end Cameron Jordan will turn 37 next summer. Both have voiding contracts this year, but they have continued to play at a high level despite their age. The Saints will need to decide whether to bring them back, as well as 35-year-old Taysom Hill. If not, they could get younger at those positions.

Katherine Terrell On Saints’ Secondary Priority
Surround rookie quarterback Tyler Shough with a better offense. He was playing with a cast of backups by the end of the season due to injuries, but even a healthy Saints offense needs a refresh. The Saints need to get Shough some pass catchers and build around him in free agency or the draft.

Dan Graziano On Cam Jordan
He could very well decide to retire. If he doesn’t, will he fit into the Saints’ 2026 cap picture? That picture is cloudy as always, but it’s impossible to imagine Jordan in a different uniform — and I think he feels the same way. Either he retires or they find a way to bring him back.

  22. I don’t think receiver is as big a need as it was before

    Bun means , Vele and Polk and Olave is a pretty good core . I think they can upgrade but I don’t see it as a weakness now .. there biggest weakness is RB and inside line . That needs to be fixed this offseason for sure

  24. I wouldn’t draft a RB in round 1 either. In my opinion we don’t need a RB in the draft. I’d rather pay Breece Hall. WR has the highest Miss rate in the first round so no thanks on that.

    AK needs to retire. He was great but he’s not anymore. Again I don’t want Love. Neal, Estime, Hull and you bring in Breece Hall

  27. We have the luxury of taking the best player available in this year's draft.Because of how well we hit on last year's draft. Rarely does any team hit on all its picks , but we did last season

  31. I pray and hope Tyler does great next year but he's going into another easy run against opponent's who will make him comfortable as a QB but wont make him great to make a superbowl run if this season goes well and his schedule gets hard…just hear me out…thanks

  34. If the vets jordan and davis want to return. I'd give them the option to take a big pay cut. Like Drew Brees did in 21. Then give them a year to year deal until they want to retire or stop performing.

  36. Hey Trace, the Saints don't need Jeremiyah Love at all. I mean isn't it better to suck ass at running back & be at the bottom of the NFL barrel for the better part of three years running the ball to make it easy to get from where you are to where you want to be? I mean why would they need a top flight inside runner who can cut on a dime, break multiple tackles in one play & outrun a whole secondary to the end zone at any given point on the field. Why would anyone want a guy who had close to 500 touches with almost 3500 yards of hard charging offense & 42 TDs to his credit with only one fumble which he self recovered? Why take a guy who could play outside when needed & has terrific hands? Nah, let's pass on that obvious choice & not think at all about the Saints history & every time they made a move back towards NFL relevance from the dark ages. Let's not think about George Rogers, Dalton Hilliard & Reuben Mayes, Deuce McCallister, Reggie Bush, Mark Ingram & Alvin Kamara in his youth. Did they last forever? Who has? You can't pass up Jeremiyah Love & let the Chiefs have another 3 Super bowls.
