7. The NFL obviously has made rule changes that overprotect QBs and receivers — my take at least. But analysts such as Tom Brady seem to agree with me as he said something like, “It shouldn’t be defensive players’ responsibility to protect offensive players.” But I’ve been saying for five years at least, probably longer, that the Steelers needed to hire a young offensive-minded coach to work with a young quarterback to take advantage of those rule changes. I could name probably 10 to 15 NFL teams that went that direction. Anyways Mike Tomlin’s type really went the way of the dinosaur and it was if the Steelers organization never recognized it. But losing seven playoff games in a row? It requires losing six, and five. . .down to one. And somewhere in that series someone should’ve said, “We’ve seen enough.” For me I think it was around the third loss where I started blowing the horn. (Luckily for me I’m not a Steelers fan. If I were I would’ve given up on them maybe five or six years ago.)

8. The Steelers hiring Cignetti as HC with him bringing Mike Shanahan Jr as his protege, OC and possible heir would be a home run.

9. Tomlin is a role model for me. Not the same way as people I know personally but I fw his approach and ability to demand dedication and effort while also keeping sight of the people involved. He a real one. Whatever the next stop he gonna do it his way
