Arenado had a no trade clause, why would he waive it to play for this dumpster fire?

I have long been a big fan of Arenado but at this stage he is the “has been” you are talking about
All the saved money going to Skaggs settlement. No money left to pay for actual baseball players now.

Arenado put up an 87 OPS+ last year. Not good
You think Perry is accountable at all here? Sam Blum straight asked him what he’s doing and his answer is either “time value money” or “ask someone else”.
Perry either is completely lost and has no plan because NO PLAYER has any desire to sign or want to be part of the Angels unless they are on their way out of the league and are trying to get one last year.
Or
Perry is a complete stooge to Arte Moreno, and is willing to collect a paycheck and have his friends get paychecks in the front office at the expense of us fans.
Either way, the 1 2 combo of Arte and Perry are destroying this franchise. They are enabling the worst of each other while at the same time being assholes to fans.
I don’t want Arenado at all on the team, but the fact we have NO PLAN for 3B outside of “fuck it, one of these failed prospects have to hit right?” And the dbacks got him for pretty much the same money we payed (and will probably again pay) moncada shows the terrible place this team is in.
This bullet was dodged, and not because of expert leadership but because of how bad our team is, no bullets will come our way lmao
