Great news for Max who has been dominating the J20 but getting very little ice time in the SHL. This lets him play at an intermediate step and hopefully provides top 6 or 9 minutes

  1. Oh this is nice. For people unaware of the league structure here, the Allsvenskan is the second tier league to the SHL in Sweden. This is somewhat similar to playing in the AHL instead of NHL in North America, although the Allsvenskan is not a farm league (the AHL isn’t fully one either, but more so I feel). There also is not as big of a quality of player drop between the SHL to Allsvenskan as there is from the NHL to AHL.

    I’m really curious to see if he can perform closer to his U20 stats. I copied his stats from my last weekly prospect update for reference.
