So far the approach has been more happy-go-lucky and to buy in and go along with the schemes, but from the last half of the season on i feel like he’s become more pissed off than he usually has been.

It made sense last year with harbaugh coming in and leading into this year, it being round 2 and the assumption that things would build. But that’s not what happened. He was beat to shit and the play calling was horrendous.

His disappointment doesn’t come across the same as joe burrow’s, instead it seems like more of a breaking point. I feel like the next oc will have to be more involved with making sure herbert buys in instead of trusting it because it’s harbaugh’s guy.

I just think the entire energy is going to be different this next year and going forward, and i think that will ultimately be a good thing. I want us to play angry next year, not hopeful.

  1. Unfortunately I’ll see it when I believe it. I always had the belief it would take us 3 years to be a contender but losing like this is just so disheartening.

We’ve lost in the playoffs in just about every way, the last thing for us to do would be to have a shootout like the panthers but just coming short at the end. (Probably next season with how cruel the football gods are)

  2. Herbert needs someone who can not only scheme receivers open but also take him under their wing and improve the mental aspect of his game e.g. pre-snap processing/calling protections. He has all the talent in the world and if this organization cant turn him into a winner then its on coaching.

  3. Set him up for success.
Interior line  to coordinator.  Even can get a 2nd te they want to rely on so they go 12 personnel more ( Harbaugh days of Vernon Davis and delanie walker)

  4. Would you say new QB coach I know he likes Shane but with him he goes through check downs less, right? I feel like he goes to check downs they win this game. Like Shane could mention something about it, no? Even though he’s not calling the plays. I also think the offensive line coach and Roman need to go. You got Hampton early and he couldn’t do anything with this line. I think the offensive line coach needs to go too. Ryan Ficken as well. Special teams coverage was bad all year.

  5. I don’t know. His answer in the press didn’t inspire much confidence and he seems rattled. Which is normal considering he has been hit a billion times.

  6. Doubt it.

We shall see though. Hopefully the embarrassment and pain from this loss drives him.

    He has to prove it.

If deep down he knows Greg and his scheme is holding him back, he needs to step up himself and tell the front office to get a new OC. Make his voice heard and not be meek about it.

  7. Peyton Manning also started 0-3 in the playoffs, took him 5 or 6 years to finally win and the narrative at the time around him was much the same as Herbert.

  8. I love 10, but Jesus fucking Christ! Madison Beer couldn’t save him and we got 11 wins. Had a legit shot at the #1 seed all year and the AFC West…forever cursed….the minute Spanos sells this team, he will have an actual playoff win. Herbert just doesn’t get it, fuck the coaching, just go out there, call your own plays and win the fucking game. This ain’t HS or College! This is your team so stop listening to any coach…clearly they want you to be killed every time you drop back.

  9. I fucking hope so. I want him to care more. I want him to put his foot down and say this is unacceptable. I’m tired of him taking all the blame and saying he wasn’t good enough. His team and coaching staff is failing him.

  10. Watch the Elway film. He had a rep for not winning the big games early on. There’s redemption out there for Herbert

  11. lol dream on, quit trying to turn him into something he’s not, never will be, and never wants to ever be.
