REVIVAL: New Orleans Saints Nail Kellen Moore & Tyler Shough Pairing, Franchises FUTURE Shifts

The New Orleans Saints may have saved their future with the successful pairing of head coach Kellen Moore and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. Their surprising chemistry, accelerated development, and ability to break through modern NFL defensive trends mark a pivotal shift for New Orleans.

General manager Mickey Loomis earns praise for engineering a rebuild that revitalized the roster and exceeded low expectations, including hits like the Chase Young contract and a youth-driven draft class. Anchoring a rejuvenated Saints defense, new coordinator Brandon Staley quickly constructed a top-10 unit built around young standouts like Chase Young, Alontae Taylor, and Justin Reid,.

  1. Loomis wanted to give dennis allen a 4th year. Thanks Gayle. Loomis reworked derek Carr’s contract with intentions of carr being the qb but carr refused. Thanks derek. Loomis wanted Aaron Glenn to be head coach. Thanks aaron. So why is loomis supposed to be getting all the praise vs devine intervention??????? Nothing he wanted worked out 😂 not to mention he hired 2 former gm’s to come in and help him with his mess!

  2. Great show Ross!

I am so excited for this next draft. Hopefully Mickey can pull in some high end talent on the offensive side and give Shough enough support and weapons to dominate!

    WHO DAT⚜️

  3. Many better hope that Mike McDaniel doesn't end up in the with the Bucs as the OC because that would mean that the Saints will have to invest more on defense.

  4. I don't do personality disparaging of folks. This crack about "Gum Smacking Mickey" never flew on my jet. It was just b!tchers being angry without the ability to limit their emotions. I, too, was concerned about Mickey, but only because I thought we were getting too old at GM. Maybe he had a magic mushroom or something, but I admit: Kyle was wrong. Mickey has never beena bean counter. So I only became concerned that stagnancy was setting in. And Heck Yeah… I think Mickey has reinvented himself. We, Mickey and I, aren't too old. I was born just a few years after Mickey was born. This IS a jury of the peers. This was a fantastic display of what off-season planning can do. One year ago… we were looking at… "don't tear it down, just refurbish the engine." There are so many things that I agree with that Ross says… It's kinda like take your nice jewelry and polish it and if we have a need to discard and add… do it again. This turned out right. No Complaints Over Here Boss

  5. WWWWHHHHHAAAATISUP brother Ross. enjoy your show. The WHODATS can go in many directions in the draft bc they picked up some valuable young pieces to compete during training camp. can't think of any of their names but that young corner they signed to the practice squad, Palmer, the wr they just signed. Huge with 4.4 speed, Eskimo (had to say it). Returning starters. I think O-line, D-line, and LB should be the focus in FA, and go skill position in the draft. Should be back to SB contending in 2 years

  6. Shough can’t even beat the falcons but he getting gassed up for playing a buncha mediocre and bad teams lmfaooooo😂😂😂😂we running this division once we hire john harbaugh

  7. I am not seeing it… look at the measurables. The results weren't good.
Saints had LESS points this 2025 than in 2024, bottom 5 NFL points this year, bottom 5 rushing, dead last red zone pct, last place again (in easiest NFL division).
Orleans' predicted wins were 5.5 from all sportsbooks 2025 preseason (won six, last place). People saying they weren't supposed to win this many are making that up.

…I would believe they've improved with a first or second place finish (division is SUPER easy!), a winning NOS record, or even just improve against the 2024 interim coach year. They did none of those in 2025.
Not saying they can't improve, but we have seen almost nothing to really indicate that so far… they haven't beaten any winning teams 2025. And they even had a top 8 defense.
If anything, Saints expectations will be impossibly high for 2026 as the defense will regress slightly to significantly. Shough was coddled and sat out the hard early games, only played the easy stretch run.
They need to do better, beat real teams… the 2025 comebacks against bad teams in meaningless games do nothing (except lower draft pick).

  8. 🧢 Mickey got lucky. If not for Gayle Benson firing Dennis Allen we would be still “looking beyond results .” It’s documented that he didn’t want to fire DA and she was the one that made him do it. Plus he didn’t want to trade Derick Carr.. Carr retired and gave money back rather than play for us.

  9. We should campaign for Matt LaFleur to Atlanta. After that loss to Chicago, he is a natural fit in Atlanta. There could be some epic chokes in Atlanta if he were HC, think about it.

  10. Thanks Ross. You are willing to give Kellen Moore the credit he deserves. However, the Saints media as a whole did not give Kellen credit for his ability to adjust playcalling as the game went on. There was constant complaining about slow starts and scripts. KM took the blame for slow starts, instead of throwing players under the bus, but there was no problem with the plays he called.Just the execution. Look at Philly. They won the superbowl last year. They had the same players this year, Hurts, Barkley, D Smith, Aj Brown, Goedert, o-line, etc. The Eagles lost last night to an injured 49s team. Today they are calling for the playcaller's head. The Philly media says Patullo was great at opening scripts and the Eagles did score early. But Patullo could't make in game adjustments. They say this was the pattern all year. They now say they should have given Kellen Moore anything he wanted to stay at Philly, because he could adjust his playcalllling as required during the game. KM called Philly to a superbowl win. Saints media, except you Ross, keep saying how KM couldn't call plays. Philly would disagree.
