  1. Som 'food for thought' for Jeromes re Addison: When I read yesterday's comments after Andy's video, I was really disappointed with how many Jeromes just simply wrote Addison off, stating that Addison will never change. IMHO, those Jeromes need to do some looking in the mirror. Specifically, every Jerome needs to ask him/herself the following questions: (a) Do I still make the same mistakes as I did when I was 7 yrs-old? like when I was 14 yrs-old? like when I was 19 yrs-old? (b) Would I have wanted my family & friends give up on me when I screwed up? (c) Is there anyone in my life who saw the good in me & didn't abandon me when I made mistakes? How do I feel about those who didn't give up on me?🤔
I would think the answer to (a) is "No" in every case, because every Jerome has been able to learn from his/her mistakes, as well as understand themselves better, change their attitude, seek advice from trusted sources, etc. So, one more question: Is there any reason that Addison is unable to learn from his mistakes, but Jeromes can?🤔
Lest readers of this post think that I am making excuses for Addison…I am not! Addison has done some stupid things, and he absolutely needs to suffer the natural consequences of his actions, both legally & in terms of team/league discipline. However, just cutting him loose does the Vikings, Addison, future teams, etc no good, so a more constructive approach needs to be taken & Addison needs to know that he is being given one last chance.🤔
FWIW, I do think that Addison has some underlying issues which are causing him to make bad decisions in a variety of circumstances. I agree with Kwesi A-M that Addison is fundamentally a good guy who knows he has screwed up & takes responsibility for it (I don't think Addison has ever complained about team/league discipline or dissed his superiors to the press..). Nevertheless, Addison must get to the bottom of the matter now, or the Vikes WILL give up on him on a professional level (..out of necessity, not out of anger..), and he will ruin his career.🤔
I recall musing last year that I had a gut feeling that Addison may have ADHD, and, now that I think of it, one of the common characteristics of youngsters & young adults with ADHD is that there is a tendency to be impulsive & make poor decisions 'in the moment'. The other possible issue is some deep-seated insecurity that is subconsciously driving him to make counter-productive decisions, and/or demonstrate attention-seeking behaviour.
Regardless, if I am Kwesi A-M, I would suspend Addison now, and insist that he goes for therapy twice per week for the entire off-season, with the therapist sending weekly reports to a Vikings medical professional (..who would maintain confidentiality, but ensure that the team is aware if Addison is cooperating, taking ownership for his poor judgement, and authentically making overall progress as the off-season progresses..). If Addison does not cooperate, then the Vikes should suspend him without pay during the season until he does, and if absolutely necessary, not extend his contract.🤔

  2. YOU DONT THINK of course the kid is to cocky FIX THE O LINE first and bring in a legitimate competition and the cream rise to the top and stick and work on the QB that wins.ADDISON is trouble trade him another DIGGS.

  3. Keep him cheap for a other year. No talks of an extension. Addison will weed himself out possibly with another incident this year. That kid needs Jesus and mentoring

  4. With the assistance head coach leaving, make flores the assistance head coach…draft a center…and I wish we could draft Indiana quarterback…

  5. The Vikings goal shouldn't be just to get in the playoffs as a wildcard team. It should be to build a culture and roster that can compete for Championship for the next decade.. You can't do that with bandaid QB's and relying on free agency. SKOL!.

  6. If you really want Mac Jones in the building. (I Want him to compete with JJ McCarthy). You may be able to off load Addison, and a pick swap to get it done.. obviously we'd retain Nailor. And draft a TE, assuming TJ is cut. Just a thought

  7. Again, if JJ is part of the future plans of this team he needs to play. We need a backup, not to overpay for a mediocre starter to rob JJs reps. The other route is to go get a top-10 QB like Burrow and move on from JJ. Why force ourselves into having to pick up JJ’s fifth year option or extend him on a very small sample size when we don’t have to, unless we think how the Packers handled Jordan Love’s contract should be the model for some reason? Basing $40+ million per year decisions on 10 games seems like a dumb idea to me, especially when it’s avoidable, but who knows
