1. Hard to gauge what Tucker values more but longer term deal seemed to be his preference. I would suspect Jays offer was reasonable but I don’t want to overpay so fine if he walks to Mets – even though I personally would avoid what seems to be a mismanaged situation. If that’s the case maybe pivot to Bellinger?

   Tucker will be h@ted when he can't bring home runners with men RISP as a power bat – when he can't hit over 25 HR's, bat in 100 RBI's, and hit below the Mendoza line with two strikes against him. In his 3rd+ year, he will not be getting it done at the expectation you monkee's believed and will want him gone for the next 400 million guy. But it wont happen because he will be a de@d asset. 10. I'm actually over the Tucker drama. Jays have already improved their team. Losing Bo will definitely impact the Jays' hitting, but the addition of Okamoto may end up being a great deal for the Jays and offset Bo's hitting loss.

15. The draft pick scenario does not make for a competitive advantage, because obviously the Jays are aware of that, and made an offer. The only way it would be an advantage would be if it PREVENTED them from making an offer. It’s a moot point and needless to mention.

21. This is becoming a pissing match about who will pay the most and get the player. 50 million is way too much for Tucker. You would have to overpay a bit for Bo but he has a track record with your team and the other players. I would much rather see a little overpay for Bo than a major overpay for Tucker

23. It would be nice to know exactly what the Blue Jays front office has offered Kyle Tucker. All we really know is that they want him long term. The reported $50 million AAV feels questionable to me—maybe it’s true, maybe it isn’t—but my gut says that number is fake.

24. Bassett,Scherzer, and Dominguez should offset some of the draft compensation, and if Bo leaves it's even more.

26. He's good, not great. Let alone a franchise cornerstone. I would love him on the Jay's but not above 25m/yr. He's never hit. 300, never hit more than 30hr and only twice hit 100+RBI's. He's the best "available" that does not mean that you throw the bank at the guy. I'd rather lock in our upcoming core (Barger, Yesavage ect).

29. If the Jays are able to sign Tucker, but are unable to sign Bo:
    Bo brings in a 4th round comp pick, due to luxury tax penalties putting it into this later round.
    
    Cease cost the Jays their 2nd and 5th highest picks and $1 million international signing bonus.
    
    Tucker would cost their 3rd and 6th highest picks and $1 million international signing bonus.

30. The Mets were not competitive last year and they'll be LESS competitive in 2026. Going to that team would be an indication that winning isn't important to you.
