I’m not really sure what else Rutherford can say at this point until we start seeing actions. They have kept things intentionally vague about how intensive this rebuild will be, and it’s tough to get a gauge until we see the roster after March 6.

The Canucks are the worst team in the league right now by quite a lot. A real rebuild should take like 5 years. We need four top 5 picks and something like 8 or more first rounders over that period of time just to start being competitive. We have to mentally shift to players like willander and Lekk practically being veterans on the team when we enter competitiveness. That’s how long it’s going to take

Pretty sure I got downvoted when I said PJ gets his info straight from JR and ownership, and when he came out with back to back articles: one blaming Ownership for Quinn’s departure, and the other making assumptions around Petey, that he’d get something in return for taking heat off them.
