  1. All the Packers (especially younger Packer fans and Bears currently out of hibernation} please read my entire op-ed.

Coming from a family in Northern Illinois that proudly boasts 6 generations of Green Bay Packer fans I am not to worried and/or concerned (long term) about the 2025 Bears coming out from hibernation from the NFL in 2025

History says Bears win when Packers are delt unfortunate events

Just like 1963 when Bart Star was inured the Bears had an opening and won. Devastating injuries to the Packers this year and lots of luck helped and allowed the Bears to come out of NFL hibernation

Bear History will likely repeat itself.

Bears won the NFL championship in 1963 because:

Bart Starr was injured in the 1963 season, suffering a hairline fracture in his throwing hand after a late hit out of bounds by St. Louis Cardinals' Jimmy Hill, which sidelined him for about a month and forced him to miss four starts, impacting the Packers' bid for a fourth straight championship.

    Details of the Injury:

When: October 20, 1963, during a game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

How: Starr was tackled late and out of bounds by Jimmy Hill, who was ejected for the hit, resulting in Starr's hand fracture.

Impact: Starr missed roughly a month of play, with backup quarterbacks John Roach and Zeke Bratkowski filling in.

Despite the injury, Starr still had a productive year, throwing for 1,855 yards and 15 touchdowns, but the season ended with Green Bay missing the NFL Championship game, partly due to injuries to Starr and others.

In 1963 the Bears won the NFL title because the Packers Star MVP Player, Bart Star, was out with injury

Back then the bears and their fans thought they were going to be on a roll, just like they think now

Like 1963 and 2025 Bears have won when Packers are dealt unfortunate circumstances.

And has history indicates, the Bears have a good year when the ball bounces their way and then DA Bears and their fans fade into mediocrity when the luck runs out and they return to hibernation

Bears and fans are out of hibernation now but how long will it last? History says not very long

Exactly when did the Packer fans say the following? How the heck can we beat those Bears?
I am trying to remember when i said that? Not during the Star, Favre or Rodgers regime

Chicago fans can only hope that very ancient history repeats itself and that one day people in Wisconsin will ask:

How the heck can we beat those Bears? Just not going to happen

  2. Having ESPN Milwaukee and other Packer fan vids in my feed now, with all of them crashing out after losing to the Bears, has been pure gold. The gift that keeps on giving.
    Bear Down!!! Bwahahahahahaha

  3. Correction at bottom, last sentence

  4. You are all wrong … this game is about winning … winning the super bowl … if you did not win the super bowl then you are a loser … your team record or how many wins a coach gas are meaningless … lefleur is not a winning coach …

  5. I do not believe in MLF. He had 7 years with great talented players. He could not get to the Super Bowl. Do not extend him. You will only get more of the same. The MLF tenure will be like that of the Mike Sherman tenure. Flush the toilet now. Get mister clean in there to start out fresh.

  6. The packers should fire him and trade Micah parsons to the bears for a 7th round draft pick and offer to pay his salary! That would be a solution to all of this 🙂

  7. Harbour is not the answer he has a worse record in play offs and regular season then Lafleur he also wants 20 million /year and complete control of players No he is not a offensive genius he had the mvp and was also predicted to be in and win the Supper Bowl and and for years the best defense and and He has the best or one of the best running backs he got his ass kicked

  8. So you give him a big raise in pay after losing his last 6 games as a coach?Matt
lafleur is a good coach but he chokes in
big games in the playoffs. The Packers will never win a super bowl with him.
He has reached his peak as a head coach.

  9. Why put off the inevitable. MLF has poss. Chances with other teams, had a guest who said……MLF tries to ge buddies w/the players…….Needa HEAD coach!

  10. To me, the biggest issue are the offensive and defensive lines. The players they currently have can't pass-block or run block. After they lost Parsons, NO ONE could pressure the QB. I don't blame the HC. I blame the GM. LVN was a 1st round pick. He plays like 6th round pick. Belton was a 2nd round pick and Jordan Morgan was a 1st rounder. Neither of them are any good. Sorry but your 1st and 2nd round picks should be "impact players". You wanna make a change…shitcan the GM.

  11. There are 8 or 9 teams looking for new head coaches. Going to be hard to get any of the better ones. LaFleur may not be great but he's still young and could improve. I'd give him one more year.
