  1. Paredes, Jake a young prospect package for Duran and a Tolle/Eberly type package, works for both teams, Dana is 2 steps ahead of it. He knew this would happen, thats why hes been gauging interest on Paredes. Was not at all shocked why Paredes trade rumors when it started. Would not be surprised if Paredes got traded this week. Red Sox rather Paredes than pay Suarez unless Suarez takes a cheap deal. Suarez will probably sign 3/75 or 4/100 somewhere.

    Gives you 3 lefties with pop in the lineup and a solid defense. Get Altuve and Yordan outta LF.

    Predictions for hitting FA's –
    Tucker will most likely take short deal with opt outs and then sign long term deal next offseason. 3/135 type deal with opt outs.
    Eugenio Suarez will probably sign a 3-5 year deal about 25/year.
    Realmuto need to go back to Philly on like a 3/60 type deal
    Bichette will probably sign short term deal or a real long term deal, nothing in between – 3/120 type with opt outs or 8-9 year deal worth about 225
    Bellinger will probably sign a short term deal – 3/105. hes the only one i see that might take a 5-6 year deal around 25/year. Hes only 30 so 5-6 year deal doesn't really make sense for him but hes been on a couple of short deals already, maybe he settles.

  2. Astros really need to move Paredes. Rsox really need a third baseman great glove, controllable… suarez? big money.. age, weak glove, Ks a ton…. Top of the return for Stros, Jarren Duran. Young controllable, 15 WAR last two seasons, top base runner, great speed. the peripherals, … work it out. Dont fail, Dana.

  4. Honestly if we where to trade Prades honestly to Boston for Duran if it a 1 to 1 trade to me not bad. Duran a young talent and play left field so you can keep Yordan or Altuve away from left field.

  12. Thank you! All the Chandler Romes out there cry about how theres an infield log jam having Parades but we need him the most! He can play 3rd, 2nd, 1st, DH and we were all for putting Altuve in Left last year and it was fine but I guess thats not allowed this year, and if Walker sucks just bench him and put Parades in. And if/when Yordan, Correa get injured were gonna wish we had Parades back.

  13. Injuries and time out of the lineup will happen. That is a fact of pro sports these days. I agree on the importance of having the roster flexibility to cover that inevitability.

  14. Love Paredes. If he stays it will work out and Yordon will play more outfield. However Paredes is an out of shape injury risk. I trade him for legit left handed pitcher like Tolle, or left handed allstar outfielder like abreu or Duran. Z or Diaz can play for Walker if he plays badly which I don't think he will… On the other hand, trade all Boris clients?. Love Jet & Brown but they would get back a major major haul. Can we win 2 championships first? Maybe. Get two draft pics. Ok. Or jet gets us the Yankee, dodger, seattle or braves farm. Maybe seager. brown takes the farm of any contender…. Altuve and Correa should restructure their deals for the team 🦜 Hader should be easy to shop. Our starting pitching needs guaranteed innings like Framber puts out.

    …and Valdez. Trade all Borax players that are coming up free agents. Don't go over the tax unless it's a deal that makes up everything lost for the next three years.

  26. Astros need more time & more prospects to allow the draft & farm system to catch up obviously. Dana should listen on 1 : 1 for Paredes – Juran. If Boras is going to advise Pena to wait on Free Agency I’m at least listening to offers, at the deadline & next winter, hopefully we have baseball on time in ‘27.

  29. I suspect Walker knows his woes in last season. What’s your other option at 1B? Give him another year to assess his performance. It’s a real thing from going to the AL from the NL (and vice versa).

  30. Just hear me out! If we want to play fantasy manager. Here is my suggestion.
    Trade christian walker for 2 prospects to the Mets. Then Sign Kyle Tucker 7 year 40 million AAV. Go over Level 1 CBT. Move Cam Smith to Left field. Move Paredes to First. Alverez is your DH and Left field when Cam needs breaks.

    Done deal. Also its just one year over CBT and next year Mccullers Money is off books. Then we are real contenders next 2-5 years!

  31. The Aranado deal alone should have people questioning the front office.e I feel like mos tof us were saying the Stros got real lucky when that didn't happen. But someone in the organization thought that was a good idea. Can I have their job? Because I'd do better. Or give it to Charlie.

  36. I don’t see 5 infielders with 4 positions.

    I see 4 players with 4 positions. LF, DH, 1B, 2B – Alvarez, Altuve, Walker, Paredes. Easy to get them all 145+ games and 500+ at bats. It will be a good problem if they are all healthy.
