People talk about the CBs a lot, but they were mostly fine all last year. LB depth might be more of a problem, especially if Quay walks. Backup Nick Niemann gave up the 2-point conversion.

  1. Once Coop went down we had no answer for loveland. Valentine wanted nothing to do with him and McDuffie is too slow to run with him.

  2. Players get hurt in football. If you can’t adjust to that and instead collapse every time, that’s not good enough.

  3. Member the 4th down play where mcduffie chased caleb and he barely got the pass off for a long completion?

Great hussle by mcduffie but coop would have gotten the Sack there, no doubt

  4. Dude get over it. No one cares about our injuries. Numerous key Bears players went down in the first half. They managed to get by. You have to persevere.

  5. That’s certainly a factor, dude is a beast. But I’m guessing the offense shitting their entire wardrobes (helmets included) in the 2nd half causing the defense to stay on the field attributes to this number as well.

  6. i brought up with weltch going down our LB room was very thin in a early post this season and people dismayed it and said wed be fine..

  7. That may have been the case for the defense but if we just have a couple of first downs on any of those opening drives in the second half the Bears don’t have time to comeback.

This game reminds me of the Cowboy vs Packer (2013)game where Dallas was up 26-3 at half. We came back and won because Dallas had drives that took less than a few minutes because of poor play calling in the moment. Even if we ran the ball up the middle each time and punted would have been better than what we did those first few drives.

    On to next year.

  8. Coop is one of the real impact players on our defense. He’s simultaneously our best coverage and best pass rushing linebacker.

  9. Tomlin said it best. We didnt put them away on offense so it became a war of attrition on defense that we ultimately lost.
