He was the QB who threw the pass in the Minneapolis Miracle.
The vibes were high for the team after that win but the Vikings got stomped the following week in the NFC Championship game 38-7 vs the Eagles. Keenum stressed that the team must remain focused.

  1. He’s right. We didn’t do that with the last Packers game and we lost 2 in a row going into the playoffs

  2. Between this and Grady & Thuney giving their respective experiences from the “28-3” game, this locker room is full of legit veteran leadership.

I’m typically pretty hard on Poles, but he nailed it this year. From the draft to these vets and revamping the o-line, he crushed it.

  3. Ben got players to talk about 28-3.  Got Keenum to talk about comebacks.  Ben has prepared this team to never lose again, its like nostraBenus.

  4. Wasn’t Dennis Allen the DC for New Orleans in that game? Maybe he added a bit to Keenun’s point. “To add on to the point Case just referred to in that game, don’t miss any f’in tackles, ok!”

  5. I agree we cant get complacent. We shook the demon that was green bay off us, its time to see what we can do. The offense needs to come out hot and try to score within the first 2 drives

  6. I love having these veterans on the team saying these things into the ears of all of our young talent. Huge value from a 3rd string QB

  7. I just shifted my attention to the Rams today.

Buuuut I’m still gunna go back and watch old tape of the 4th quarter.

  8. That’s why he’s there. It’s funny though, I distinctly remember watching that Minnesota-New Orleans game but had totally forgotten that Keenum was the Vikings QB1.

  9. Keenum is the guy we need in the locker room. He has seen a lot of stuff and seems like a great mentor. I hope they don’t let him go in the offseason.

  10. This is why you have to get a veteran QB on the team. Every roster needs one. Keeps everyone on target. Eyes on the prize.
