  1. Chain Bloom reminds me of a new manager that unexpectedly arrives at your place of employment and starts slashing payrolls and other expenses, sells employees on why it’s good for everyone, before you know it you find out your company is for sale

  2. What Chaim is doing shows how badly the previous POBO let things slide. I hope the best for Nolan and wish him well. As a Cards fan it is about time someone addressed how badly the team has fallen. I love my team and will support them the best I can. PS I am so sick of using the term runway.

  3. I'm a thrilled Cardinals fan. Can't believe we got any prospects in the deal. I would have taken a bag of used balls for Arenado. We have saved money and made room on roster for younger players. Helps start the youth movement. HALF-FULL CARDINALS FANS!!!!!

  4. I'm not upset the Cardinals traded Arenado. I loved Nolan. He was one of my favorite players before we got him. I was so excited when we did get him. I will be sad to see him leave, but I understand move seeing where the Cardinals are at. I wish nothing but the best for Nolan and hope that he can reach his dream of winning a championship.

  5. Cardinals fan here: I’m glad he’s gone, but not because I hated him. I’m glad that our rebuild can start. I’m glad he can compete somewhere this is ready now instead of 6 years

  6. Let's be real, dude. Unless Arenado suddenly becomes a high level starting pitcher, no Dback fan believes he will lead us to the World Series. We needed a third baseman, preferably a veteran, to groom our younger players for the future. Nothing more. Getting him for next to nothing is just a bonus. There is no pressure or expectations placed on him so hopefully his game will improve this year. Would rather have had Bregman but Nolan will do.

  7. D-Backs take players like these toward the end of there career and repurpose them like they did with Eugenio Suárez and Josh Naylor last year. Turn around and trade them at the deadline for younger prospects and salary dumps. So just add Nolan to that list and watch him prosper like he's 25 years old again without having all of the pressure of "being that guy at the plate". With no pressure at the plate the lineup is contagious everyone gets big hits and within the first month or so he will adapt and start producing like he hasn't missed a beat.

  8. Chaim Bloom is doing what must be done! I’m confident he is the right guy to be in POBO seat!! It’s a new era in Cardinal baseball.

I hope he and the Cardinal leadership can hit a homerun within 3 to 5 years….to at least be competing with the best teams in the NL. It’s a tall task to ask. But I believe that is the marker they have set.

Your take on the Aranado trade was well stated! 👏😊

  9. Nah bro, were not mad at all. We were mad at the lack of path and transparency of Mozaliak and the ownership. Tricking us by signing some "bandaids" and calling it competitive the past what…4 years. Messing with prospects development in the big leagues. Not to knock down your insight and info you provided, which was good. Let's not go down the typical sports media gossip of saying, "fans are upset.". Real fans are glad we are finally calling it what it is… A rebuild.

  10. No problem. The Cards will field players like Walker and Gorman with a prayer that both of them will finally hit the baseball. In any case the Cards will be just another glorified AAA team.

  11. You can’t use the New England Patriots as an example. The NFL is built for parity. MLB isn’t built like that m. It might take the Cardinals 10 years to get back to what they were a decade ago. Maybe even 20. An NFL team can turn things around very quickly.

  12. The Rockies sent millions to the Cardinals to move Arenado from Colorado, and St. Louis sent $31 million to AZ to move Arenado off of their roster. Is there a message there?

  13. It's called rebuilding.
And when teams rebuild for better or worse they rid themselves of older players with bloated contracts.
    Been happening for decades.

  14. Nolan Arenado wanted to leave the Rockies to give himself a chance to win. In his 5 years with the Cardinals, they made the post-season twice, never making it past the WC round. Bummer.
