From a stats perspective he wasn’t anything amazing. But he seemed well-liked in the locker room and seemed like a really good guy in general. He basically took Noah Hanifan into his family for a year to help him transition to the NHL.
This guy was our enforcer at one point believe it or not
We do love our short kings
Back when I was barely into hockey, I loved this guy. So much drive in a shorter guy. I still have a small clip of what he was like on the ice, I’ll see if I can find it.
Gerbs was Brock McGinn was Logan Stankoven so on. Gerbs played well above his weight (and height) and gave it all every night. Just go watch his latest scrap with Sanheim to get the feel
Between the legs behind the back. That’s all I have to say. I saw it happen.
Well, the girls would turn the color of an avocado, when he would drive down their street in his El Dorado.
How good was he? He was 5′ 4″ and played for multiple NHL teams. He was physically at an enormous disadvantage, yet he played in the NHL and generally excelled. That should say enough.
