Get Mike McD in there.. He'll be able to scheme guys open for Herbert better than Roman can.. The guy doesnt have any checkdown routes on most of his plays lol.. It's like he thinks he still has Kap or Lamar back there doing the dual-threat thing
I hate to say I told you so, but… 🤔
…wait a minute…
I love saying that!
I TOLD YOU SO! I TOLD YOU!!
I. TOLD. YOU. SO.
It’s just the way it goes. You’re off offensive line dies, and you pay the price even if it’s not your fault.
He was let go by the Chargers for the exact same reason he was let go by the Ravens. He's NOT a good offensive coordinator !!!!!! He's just not. I don't know where or when he picked up this reputation as some guru of the offense, but it's a myth.
People were saying when Jim got hired to not bring Roman and this is why. Glad hes gone
Yes Gro was a problem . Had the ball at the Patriots 10 and no running plays?.. Gro called a option on 4 and 9 early in the game lol….but after watching Kurt Warner break down Justin Herberts play against the Patriots I saw a lot of flaws with Herbert. Guys were getting more open than I thought. I do not know what was going on. Herbert was not setting in the pocket even when his oline was standing ground. Weird. Hope he gets out of the funk and im excited to see who Harbaugh decides to hire as the new OC. GO CHARGERS!!
LMAO Herbert is overrated and will get other coaches fired
Herbert just isn't that guy
Interesting 🤔
How about a screen? Or a reverse ? Or something other than the same slow developing crap he called
Wasted 2 years of herbert
If I was Herbert I would ask to be traded if he wants to have a long career if he stays with the chargers I mean he's gonna keep on getting destroyed
The fact he's surprised by this shows he doesn't have a pulse on the league
Chargers fan here, this move needed to happen. This the same basic thing that happens with Roman every year. Franchise and talent has not mattered at all.
Thank the football gods
Go get McDaniel and AJ Brown
This is a year too late.
Chris Simms trashed Drake Maye prior to the draft. Nuff said.
No innovation or creativity. Bye Felicia ✌️
I was saying this when I heard he was hired! I had people saying Jackson was MVP when Roman was Ravens OC. Okay, yeah, back when the NFL didn’t catch up to his predictable calls.
Roman sucked with the Niners and he hasn’t stopped sucking.
I would have fired him for that goatee dye job🤣
Greg Roman office died with Kap this ain't 2012. Justin Herbert is a combination of Tony Romo and Andy Dalton he makes Phillip Rivers look like Johnny Unitas.🙄
Mike McDaniel will be new OC for Chargers…
Surprised? You didn't watch a single game I know
Great move! Greg Roman is a terrible OC.
Ok, then how did the Chargers win 11 games this year?
I blame Jim Harbaugh, he was a QB. He knows better. He should have told his OC & Line coach, we r NOT calling another pass play You guys r going to get our QB seriously hurt.
Next 20 plays all runs. I don't care, we r not losing our QB for next year too.
See 49er Faithful, that’s how the 49ers lost their three playoff games under Jim Harbaugh between 2011 and 2013: Greg Roman’s inept play calling that saw his teams’ weaknesses in third down conversions and red zone touchdown efficiency exposed.
And yet, the Faithful are still pissed at Kyle Williams for his two lost fumbles against the Giants.
kinda dumb fire. the patriots are hot right now. the bills are hot right now. its not bad to be third to these two teams.
The few handful of plays down field + 20 yards by Roman. It is what Herbert is Elite at.
Herbert was a failure with Steichen, Lombardi, Moore and Roman. What makes anyone think a 5th new OC in 7 years is going to make any difference? It won't. Herbert is a loser who chokes in the playoffs. Doesnt matter who you hire as OC, the problem is Herbert.
They have a super star Quarterback. Just give him time in the pocket
You're surprised??? In 2 playoff games they have 2 touchdowns. I don't care about injuries. This guy is no good at the modern offense. I am worried about the chargers moving forward
Now nobody else hire this guy smh hes a joke of an oc
You have no idea what kc will do mahomes may not even be back at the begining of the season.
A little suprised?? Do you have eyes?
Finally… 1 word "misdirection (he needs to study that)"
It’s been a hard road? Come on now Chris. Y’all love to defend Roman.
I think we are still in a much better position with Herbert and Harbaugh that many other teams in this league. So we should stop crying and calling out everyone. It was a good year, our goal is to improve ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Why he was ever the OC is a mystery…wasted two years.
Mike McDaniel goes to LA for a year and leads Bolts to a superbowl? Would get him a huge contract the following year.
Greg (what’s a screen pass) Roman
My guy why were you surprised?! He failed the chargers for two years I’m glad he’s gone
